The young woman in the interview came to Mandalay Bay Casino for her 21st birthday and was at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival right up until fifteen minutes or so before the attack began.
She details a chilling account of an ominous threat or perhaps a warning coming ahead of the attack. She says an Hispanic woman who was with a man told those around her at the festival that they were all going to die and had been “messing with” the woman in front of her after pushing her way to the front of the crowd.
The witness said, “They escorted her out to make her stop messing around with all the other people, but none of us knew it was going to be serious.” She described the Hispanic woman and her companion as short, both around 5′ 5” and looking like “everyday people.”
She said that she and her friends had just gotten back to their hotel room when the gunman opened fire on the crowd below. Asked if the woman’s comments came to mind as she watched the shooting unfold, the woman says, “Yeah, I thought it had a positive correlation to it, like obviously she was telling us that, either to tell us to warn us or to tell us that we were all going to die and she was part of it.
She said the Hispanic woman and her boyfriend were escorted out because “She had been messing with the lady in front of her and telling her that she was going to die. That we were all going to die. So they escorted her out to make her stop messing around with all of the other people in front of them. But none of us knew that it was going to be serious.
