WikiLeaks Exposed CIA Meddling In French Elections – Now CIA, DOJ Going After Assange, Retaliation?

The recent attacks of the past nine days on Julian Assange and WikiLeaks by the CIA have puzzled many who understand that the organization played a major role in exposing the corruption and misdeeds of President Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton and her associates, and were puzzled by his administration’s apparent lack of appreciation for their efforts.

Now a reason may be coming into focus in the form of a WikiLeaks document dump from the CIA Vault7 collection, which reveals the previous Obama regime meddling into the 2012 French elections. Hypocrisy is nothing new to the Democrats but for them to pretend to be outraged over fake allegations against Russia for something that they are revealed again to have been engaged in against one of our allies in what Democrats has declared is a “most sacred internal functions” is beyond measure.

With the French Presidential elections in their final two weeks and now down to two candidates, the next logical question as all of this comes together is whether the US government meddling is still taking place and if so, to what degree, against whom and under whose direction. It certainly is happening in an unofficial capacity with Obama, still pretending to be president, inserting himself by calling Emmauel Macron last week and offering an unofficial endorsement.

CIA Director Mike Pompeo came out strongly against Assange last week and Attorney General Sessions has indicated that he will be charged by the Department of Justice. Are these acts of government intimidation designed to force him to remain silent about ongoing interference or genuine efforts to lock him up and silence him?

Something is up and a desire to protect or cover up clandestine activities is a logical argument, one of the few that make any sense of this sudden hostility on the part of the Trump administration towards an organization the President declared in October that he loved.

It’s still early, President Trump can call off the meddling and blame it on Obama; he certainly blamed George Bush for his many “difficulties.” This administration needs to be above board and honest with the American people. We expect that of President Trump, we trust that he is different from the swamp creatures he vowed to eliminate. It is increasingly evident that he’s already got some in his own administration and intrusive family and their advice may be having a negative impact, resulting in some bad decisions.

WikiLeaks’ official statement on the release, dated February 16, 2017, details the following about the 2012 French election:

CIA espionage orders for the last French presidential election

All major French political parties were targeted for infiltration by the CIA’s human (“HUMINT”) and electronic (“SIGINT”) spies in the seven months leading up to France’s 2012 presidential election. The revelations are contained within three CIA tasking orders published today by WikiLeaks as context for its forth coming CIA Vault 7 series. Named specifically as targets are the French Socialist Party (PS), the National Front (FN) and Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) together with current President Francois Hollande, then President Nicolas Sarkozy, current round one presidential front runner Marine Le Pen, and former presidential candidates Martine Aubry and Dominique Strauss-Khan.

The CIA assessed that President Sarkozy’s party was not assured re-election. Specific tasking concerning his party included obtaining the “Strategic Election Plans” of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP); schisms or alliances developing in the UMP elite; private UMP reactions to Sarkozy’s campaign stratagies; discussions within the UMP on any “perceived vulnerabilities to maintaining power” after the election; efforts to change the party’s ideological mission; and discussions about Sarkozy’s support for the UMP and “the value he places on the continuation of the party’s dominance”. Specific instructions tasked CIA officers to discover Sarkozy’s private deliberations “on the other candidates” as well as how he interacted with his advisors. Sarkozy’s earlier self-identification as “Sarkozy the American” did not protect him from US espionage in the 2012 election or during his presidency.

The espionage order for “Non Ruling Political Parties and Candidates Strategic Election Plans” which targeted Francois Holland, Marine Le Pen and other opposition figures requires obtaining opposition parties’ strategies for the election; information on internal party dynamics and rising leaders; efforts to influence and implement political decisions; support from local government officials, government elites or business elites; views of the United States; efforts to reach out to other countries, including Germany, U.K., Libya, Israel, Palestine, Syria & Cote d’Ivoire; as well as information about party and candidate funding.

The CIA operation ran for ten months from 21 Nov 2011 to 29 Sep 2012, crossing the April-May 2012 French presidential election and several months into the formation of the new government.

The Trump Administration is beginning to look and act like the Three Previous Administrations! It now appears that Trump has hoodwinked his supporters but GOOD!

We need a total make over of the CIA, the FBI and all other alphabet agencies that are full of Obama people, whose mission is to destroy Trump and the USA. Start with draining the swamp!

  3. It appears that Clinton and the rest of 0bama’s crowd will be free from any consequences. Sessions’ recusing himself seems to send that message. Instead of calling Ryan a great guy, Trump should call Assange a great guy and do whatever he needs to in order to let him be free.

I’m starting to get buyer’s remorse, although there was no other alternative.

  4. I think they should release more, the government has and will lie to us more.

I don’t care which side it is against. There is no reason, other than wanting to destroy this, for them to lie and covering things up.
