President Trump has once again gotten under the fake red skin of Elizabeth Warren, with anti-Trump propagandist Jim Acosta helping her to capitalize on the attention. Armed…
CNN’s marquis Trump-hater, Jim Acosta, questions Sen Elizabeth Warren about her claims to be of native American heritage, naturally, taking her dubious and unsubstantiated claims at face value. At the 5:53 mark of the video he asks her if she’s bothered by President Trump calling her Pocahontas and if she’s going to run for President in 2020. [[VIDEO BELOW]]
She carefully spins her response, saying, “Let me tell you my story,” never claiming that it is true, which actually does sound a lot like John Smith and Pocahontas. She describes her dad’s family being bitterly opposed to him marrying her mother because she was part Indian. Maybe she looked like Warren and they were just using an easy excuse to try and help their future grandchildren.
Acosta interrupts, as she’s spending valuable anti-Trump airtime rambling on about herself, asking, “So does that bother you when the President calls you Pocahontas? Do you think that he is being disrespectful to native Americans when he does that? Doesn’t that bother you because of your family’s heritage?”
She says it’s “her family’s story,” what they learned from their parents. Not that it’s necessarily true or that it can be substantiated, but the claim that it was told to her is difficult to refute so she’s got a built in out. It’s not her fault her parents lied to her or were “mistaken.”
She goes on to shift the subject to the abuse of native American women by the evil males devils of all types, both Indian and pale face. She’s countering President Trump’s taunts by responding now and in the future with a claim that more than half of the native women in this country, the real ones, not Warren, we presume, have been the victims of sexual violence.
She goes even further, saying, “and more than half of them are attacked by non-natives. Those are some pretty outrageous accusations but it’s doubtful that there are FBI statistics to back them up. It’s probably more of what her grandparents, aunts and uncles told her. The same place she gets all of her native American “facts.” The same way she learned of her own “heritage.”
