The Iran deal and their endless deviations from their commitments and other acts of aggression will now be monitored much more closely by the US and Israel. Response options
President Trump has certainly distinguished himself as the antidote to globalist Democrats and the potential cure for the affliction of Hussein Obama ignorant American voters unleashed upon the United States and the world in 2008.
Rather than continuing to promote the creation of a caliphate and shifting American alliances towards the Islamist regimes of the Middle Eastern Islamist authoritarians, Trump is reinforcing our relationship with Israel and denouncing the Obama-Kerry-Jarrett nation of first loyalty, Iran.
In the wake of his announcement of the intention to move our Israeli embassy to Jerusalem and earlier refusal in October to recertify the Iran nuclear deal, comes a new arrangement with Israel that signals a more serious, realistic and determined attitude for the United States in the region.
Axios reports that the US and Israel have adopted a joint strategic work plan intended to act as a framework to counter Iranian aggression and expansion in the Middle East. US and Israeli officials confirmed the joint understandings were the product of a secret meeting between top Israeli and US delegations at the White House on December 12th.
Those involved in the hammering out the agreement included Israeli national security adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat and senior representatives of the Israeli military, Ministry of Defense, Foreign Ministry and intelligence community. Similarly the US representation was headed by national security adviser HR McMaster as well as top officials from the National Security Council, State Department, Department of Defense and the intelligence community.
Several working groups were created to deal with various aspects of the Iranian threat. One group will address the needs for covert and diplomatic action to block Iran’s path to nuclear weapons. It will examine and make recommendations for diplomatic steps that can be taken as part of the Iran nuclear deal to further monitor and verify that Iran is not violating the deal. It also includes diplomatic steps outside of the nuclear deal to put more pressure on Iran, including possible covert steps against the Iranian nuclear program.
Another working group will focus on countering Iranian activity in the region, especially the Iranian entrenchment efforts in Syria and the Iranian support for Hezbollah and other terror groups. This working group will also deal with drafting U.S.-Israeli policy regarding the “day after” in the Syrian civil war.
Another prime objective for the groups is countering Iranian ballistic missile development and the Iranian “precision project” program of developing and manufacturing precision guided missiles in Syria and Lebanon for Hezbollah, and intended for use against Israel.
Planning and preparation for joint U.S.-Israeli responses to different possible scenarios in the region involving Iran, Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza are also being developed.
Axios quoted Israeli officials as saying, “[T]he U.S. and Israel see eye to eye the different developments in the region and especially those that are connected to Iran. We reached at understandings regarding the strategy and the policy needed to counter Iran. Our understandings deal with the overall strategy but also with concrete goals, way of action and the means which need to be used to get obtain those goals.”
Is it too late for us to stop payment on the check Obama, Kerry and Jarrett gave them?
