President Trump is threatening the sweet deal healthcare subsidies that Hussein Obama gave lawmakers and their staffs in order to entice them into complicit approval of the assault on the American health care system that fittingly bore his despicable name.
On Saturday Trump tweeted, “If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!”
While President Trump has been, for the past few months, threatening to cut off insurance company reimbursements, Obamacare federal subsidies, he has ultimately provided the funds every time. Those impacted by such an action would be the poorest enrollees, with the funds covering much of their expenses by lowering deductibles and paying other out-of-pocket costs. There is a political price associated with such an action.
There’s not as much political fallout with the American people in depriving the elites in Congress of the better deal they gave themselves. Most Americans would welcome them having to live under the same rules they dictate to us. The next payment is due in three weeks and presumably, that is the next deadline.
House Republicans have already challenged the payments in court, so the loudest objections are likely to only come from the crooked anti-American, self-serving Democrats and their mirror-image RINOs. Let John McCain, Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi, who somehow managed to become filthy rich as “servants of the people,” spend some of that wealth on their own deductibles, at the actual market price they helped to create.
Fearing their gravy train is pulling into the station, Dems and RINOs are wringing their hands, claiming that cutting off the payments would sabotage the insurance markets, and that Republicans will bear the blame.
Artificially supporting the insurance industry with money stolen from the American people through Obama’s wealth redistribution disguised as health care is not a market, it’s a scam. Destruction of their self-serving scam is something we would expect Democrats and establishment RINOs to oppose.
Swamp snake Chuck Schumer said on Saturday, “If the president refuses to make the cost-sharing reduction payments, every expert agrees that premiums will go up and health care will be more expensive for millions of Americans. The president ought to stop playing politics with people’s lives and health care, start leading and finally begin acting presidential.”
Activist groups, including Heritage Action, have proposed that Mr. Trump’s administration change the Obama-era rule at the Office of Personnel Management that allows members of Congress and their staff to obtain subsidized insurance as if they were a Washington, D.C., small businesses.

They may be getting rich off of their positions, but being a congressman is not a business. Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin and John McCain are employees, individual snakes supposedly working for the American taxpayers in the United States Congress.
The window dressing in Obamacare provides the illusion of requiring Congress to get their health coverage just like other Americans. It then gives them lots of money in the form of small business subsidies to pay for the exorbitant costs, effectively negating that requirement. The rest of America doesn’t get to share in that benefit.
Michael Needham, head of Heritage Action, wrote in an op-ed this week, “With the long-promised goal of repealing Obamacare and providing relief from the failing law slowly slipping away because of liberal intransigence, senators should finally subject themselves to the same burdens imposed upon their constituents. Maybe then they would come around to begin delivering on their longstanding promise.”
Maybe they’ll be more concerned with cleaning up the mess they’ve made when it gets personal. Sometimes to get an animal’s attention you’ve got to hit it in the head with a stick.
