Trump stopped briefly as he entered his Mar-a-Lago resort to answer reporters’ questions, telling his side of the story on DACA amnesty, the Durbin lies, Dem shutdown threats,
President Trump stopped to take a few questions from reporters as he and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy were making their way inside his Mar-a-Lago resort on Sunday evening.
One reporter asks what they were talking about, to which Trump replies they’re talking about a lot of things and that the DACA amnesty for illegals is one of them. Asked if he’s going to get any Democrat support for a DACA deal, Trump expresses his view that Democrats don’t really want a deal.
He says, “I think they talk about DACA but they don’t want to help the DACA people,” pointing out that they’re not children as they used to be referred to. He says, “I think you have a lot of sticking points but they’re all Democrat sticking points, because we are ready, willing and able to make a deal but they don’t want to.”
Trump continues, “They don’t want security at the border, there are people pouring in, they don’t want security at the border, they don’t want to stop drugs. And, they want to take money away from our military, which we cannot do. So those are some of the sticking points.”
He’s asked if his supposed “racist” comments had made getting a deal harder. President Trump responds by asking, “Did you see what various Senators in the room said about my comments? They weren’t made.” Trump indulges the attack media as he has been forced to do, denying that he’s a racist and saying, “I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed, that I can tell you.”
Asked if there’s going to be a government “shutdown,” Trump replies that he doesn’t know but that there shouldn’t be, because, among other reasons, “our military gets hurt very badly.” He proclaims, “We cannot let our military be hurt.”
He also addresses the false alarm missile alert in Hawaii, where the state has accepted full responsibility for what happened, despite the ranting of insane libtard Jamie Lee Curtis, who somehow laid the blame fully on President Trump. The federal government plans to work closely with them to improve their system.
Trump closes by reiterating his stance on DACA amnesty, saying that “The folks from DACA should know, the Democrats are the ones that aren’t going to make a deal.”
