Perhaps President Trump made sure the leftist mob media didn’t celebrate too much the fact that they, along with the establishment anti-Trump politicians had forced him to make a statement clarifying his position on the violence in Charlottesville.
They got him to name some names in advance of the investigation of groups that he denounces. They were all groups promoting white identity and superiority, with none promoting other beliefs included, despite there being evidence to indicate that they were responsible for the violence, as is usually the case, in Charlottesville on Saturday. Hopefully all of that will come out in the investigation. [VIDEO BELOW]
As usual a win quickly morphs into a new starting point for the next attack by the left, as CNN’s Jim Acosta demonstrated in his usual arrogant, rude manner, shouting questions to President Trump following his speech.
Acosta asks, “Do you want to explain why you didn’t condemn those hate groups by name over the weekend?” Trump replied, they’ve been condemned. They have been condemned.”
The CNN reporter pressed on, “And why are we not having a press conference today? You said on Friday we’d have a press conference.” Trump responded, “We had a press conference. We just had a press conference.”
Acosta asked, “Can we ask you some more questions then, sir?” President Trump replied, “It doesn’t bother me at all but you know I like real news, not fake news. You’re fake news.” President Trump turned and walked out of the room as the little CNN antagonist shouts his reply, “Mr. President, haven’t you spread a lot of fake news yourself, sir?”
The reaction of the CNN studio anchor and her panel of bobble-heads is predictable, but the eye-roll is a bit unusual. Maybe they should reassign Acosta to something that keeps him out of the White House and contact with the President. His caustic manner certainly isn’t helping them and being branded fake news every time he opens his mouth just reinforces a narrative that’s already tanking their ratings.
It was a clever way for President Trump to send a message to those who had forced him to state the obvious that he’s still in charge of the narrative, he’s still the President despite their best efforts.
