President-elect Donald Trump raised an interesting point on Thursday regarding the supposed hacking of the DNC and their unwillingness to cooperate with the FBI afterwards as they sought to investigate the source and nature of the hacks into their servers.
The DNC contends that the FBI never requested access to its servers after they were supposedly breached, The Hill quotes a senior law enforcement official as stating the FBI repeatedly asked for access “only to be rebuffed.”
Mr. Trump tweeted, “If the FBI itself never examined DNC servers, how and why are they so sure about hacking?” He added, “What is going on?” A few possibilities come to mind, not the least of which is the existence of incriminating evidence of other crimes by the Democrats that they did not want to risk revealing or the possibility that it would allow the FBI to document that there actually was no breach, that is was a leak of some sort and then deprive them of their whole “the Russians did it” offensive and distraction.
BuzzFeed reported this week that “The DNC had several meetings with representatives of the FBI’s Cyber Division and its Washington (D.C.) Field Office, the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney’s Offices. The FBI never requested access to the DNC’s computer servers.”
That’s preposterous. They want us to believe that officials from all of those various agencies and offices all simultaneously forgot to ask about checking the server, that the level of professionalism has sunk to an inability to perform the most obvious components of an investigation?
BuzzFeed is also reporting that no US intelligence agency has conducted an independent forensics analysis on the servers. Instead, the bureau supposedly contracted to a third party provider, CrowdStrike, the same firm that supposedly investigated the DNC breach.
No wonder Mr. Trump smells a rat, more appropriately a swamp rat den. Something isn’t adding up here, and it looks like more of a typical Clinton cover up of some sort. Adding to the stench of Clinton corruption, the Hill reports that a senior law enforcement official on Thursday disputed the DNC’s claims that the FBI never requested access to the DNC servers.
He said, “The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access to servers and data, only to be rebuffed until well after the initial compromise had been mitigated. This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information. These actions caused significant delays and inhibited the FBI from addressing the intrusion earlier.”
They also tainted the crime scene and provided a means for obstruction and, like with the Clinton Chappaqua server, a means to exclude the objective professionals at the FBI from discovering the truth. The Clintons should start buying their Bleachbit in bulk, by the pallet.
