Gen Flynn was scapegoated by dirty cop Mueller in the effort to railroad Trump. Former State Dept Spokesman Toner said there was nothing wrong with meeting Russians as part
On January 13th of this year, a week before President Trump was sworn into office and more than two months following the election, State Department spokesperson Marc Toner made some statements that were unremarkable at the time but now stand out as potentially quite important.
Toner responded to questions posed by Matt Lee of the Associated Press that support the theory and the opinion of many, including Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, that all of this hysteria over Mike Flynn and President Trump talking to Russians is a bunch of hooey.
Lee said, “You probably have seen reports starting yesterday, but then more of them this morning, about contact between the incoming National Security Advisor and the Russian Ambassador. I’m just wondering from the State Department’s point of view is this something that’s of concern at all?”
Toner replies, “Not necessarily, I’ve seen he reports, I don’t think they’ve been confirmed or corroborated yet. But that’s, he’s part of the transition team, that’s really for them to speak to and how they are engaging.”
He continues, “I mean, the President-elect is also engaged on his own with many world leaders so I don’t want to speculate and I don’t want to…” [[VIDEO BELOW]]
Lee asks, “This building doesn’t see anything necessarily inappropriate about contacts between members of the incoming administration and foreign officials, no matter what country they’re from, right?” Toner replies, “No, no, and again, this has been ongoing.”
Toner adds, “I mean, we stand ready, if they want to work through the State Department to contact some of these individuals, but we have no, uh, you know, no comment or no, uh, problem with their doing such on their own.”
Somehow along the way, in the left’s rush to find any excuse to impeach President Trump and force him out of office, it became a problem, nothing turned into something. Maybe Mueller, Sessions and the rest of the anti-Trump DOJ should explain just what their goal is and why General Flynn is being made a scapegoat for their thus-far fruitless effort to railroad President Trump.
Toner said it’s a normal function and the State Department found nothing noteworthy in the fact that contacts were taking place. Why do Jeff Sessions and Rod Rosenstein see things differently? Why do these subversives still have their jobs? Why is Flynn being paraded around like some kind of common criminal while espionage hag Hillary Clinton remains free to conduct book tours and whine about how “unfairly” she has been treated?
