O J Simpson seems to be doing okay for himself since he got out of prison, returning to and apparently taking up residence in Las Vegas.
As he’s walking out of a local casino, Simpson is spotted by reporters and asked how he’s liking Las Vegas. Simpson shot back a thinly veiled shot at the reporters shadowing him and others, saying, “Well, it’s like a no hit zone of America. Everybody seems to be having more fun living their lives than worrying about everybody else.”
Of course he’s very familiar with Las Vegas, that was the site the incident which resulted in his prison sentence, so his phrasing his response as if he were making an evaluation is probably a little less than sincere. There may be some differences that are highlighted with his recent release but basically it’s the same town.
He’s asked, “Did you see the new Caitlyn excerpts?” Simpson attempts to take a similar “live and let live approach” an odd label to attach to anything he says. His response results in him putting both feet in his mouth.
Simpson replies, “I’ve never met Caitlyn, as far as Bruce is concerned, I really didn’t know him that well. But if he wants to choose to live his life out as an old lady instead of an old man,” he chuckles, “hey, woman live longer, he might be onto something. Take care guys.”
The TMZ host delivers a barb, saying, “Well, women don’t always live longer, O J,” a reference to his murdered ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, who many people believe and a civil trial determined, was a Simpson murder victim.
Caitlyn is single, O J, if you’re interested. Then again, that might blow out any of that life-extending advantage you mentioned to the sex change.
