If Al Sharpton isn’t running his mouth and if racist comments aren’t coming out of it, he’s not doing his job. He’s not being recorded and pressing the agenda of those who have made him a very wealthy and connected individual.
Sharpton’s taking care of that little oversight now, by inserting himself into the smearing of Senator Jeff Sessions along bogus, debunked, racist arguments, just as the racists at the NAACP have been doing. Those efforts included the obligatory sit-ins in Senator Sessions’ office and their insistence on being arrested for trespassing. Really, the arrest is fine but was there really any reason why they had to let them back out?
Sharpton’s organization, NAN, Nasty-Ass Neanderthals or as he prefers to call it, the National Action Network, has promised a “season of civil disobedience” in response to the nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) as Mr. Trump’s Attorney General.
It doesn’t matter that there is no truth to their accusations, it’s good enough to conduct the smear campaign. They’re not going to defeat his nomination, and they know that. But the trash talking trash will try to slow it down, obstruct the progress to the degree that they can, all the while demeaning the character of Senator Sessions and the legitimacy of the Trump presidency.
Sharpton has plans to conduct a march in Washington DC on January 14th, over the Martin Luther King Holiday; there’s going to be cameras and microphones there, his two most critical necessities of life. Apparently Sharpton believes it is consistent with Dr. King’s values to tarnish the name of an honest, faithful public servant who only wants what is best for the American people in the name of power and politics. Sharpton and Dr. King are both able to lead marches and both are black. Any similarities end there.
The barely literate Shaprton said on Friday, “We’re not just doing this to be doing it. We do it because it can lead to change and, believe me, there will be a season of civil disobedience particularly around the Sessions nomination.” His two days of confirmation hearings begin on January 10th. It looks like quite a short season, Nanner, maybe you should call it a couple days of civil disobedience or two days of self-aggrandized and entitled children throwing a fit. That sounds like a winner, Sharpton; go with the second one.
In a Friday conference call, Sharpton said other chronic complainers wanting something for nothing and special favored treatment would be joining him. The names included Cornell Brooks, the NAACP racist who just got thrown out of Senator Sessions’ office. His equally racist Latino counterpart, Janet Murguia, president and CEO of the National Council of La Raza (The Race) will also be out demanding attention.
Sharpton outlined NAN’s plans to visit Senators’ offices and even show up at their homes. He intends to “make them understand” that the NANers and other racists will hold them accountable if they vote in favor of Sessions. Please, Al, come in. And don’t mind the dog, he only bites crooks and charlatans.
The greasy-headed punk plans to, “Make them understand that if they think they are voting based on some courtesy of a Senate colleague and will not face a real backlash in their own states, then they have another [thing] coming.” For most of us that would be another think coming, but Al doesn’t engage in thought so to him a sentence like that would lack any real meaning. “Thing” is a useful word, he likes it a lot and no thought is required. Sharpton continued with his threat, saying, “This is not going to be some regular ceremonial procedure that they’re going to be able to bluff their way through.”
The little extortionist’s bluster continued, “We intend to make this a critical stand in terms of where people are with civil rights and voting rights in this country. No one will be given a pass to say ‘I had to vote for my colleague.’ This is an affront to everything the civil rights and voting rights community has stood for historically and a vote for Sessions should be held accountable and punishable by the voters.”
Anyone want to bet that he’s joined by Obama in one of these events before the first 100 days has run?
