Nothing says DOJ or FBI like prejudging a case even as you’re opening it. In a statement issued Saturday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote, “The violence and deaths in Charlottesville strike at the heart of American law and justice. When such actions arise from racial bigotry and hatred, they betray our core values and cannot be tolerated.” Don’t you want to finish your investigation before passing judgment, Mr. AG?
If he were talking about the true racial bigotry, that against white people that is being exhibited by the local officials and Governor McAuliffe, that would be one thing. He’s not. Sessions seems fearful of once again being unjustifiably labeled a racist as he was by the Democrats during his confirmation hearings. Now he’s rewarding them by being intimidated into acting, or at a minimum talking like he’s acting, in their interests, to a degree recusing himself once again.
Is this the new Ferguson or Baltimore, where the FBI and DOJ go in with a predetermined cause and outcome in mind and a mission to make the evidence fit? Having been the subject of witch hunts themselves, President Trump and AG Sessions should understand the importance of letting the facts do the talking and letting them make or break the case.
He continued, “I have talked with FBI Director Chris Wray, FBI agents on the scene and law enforcement officials for the state of Virginia. The FBI has been supporting state and local authorities throughout the day. U.S. Attorney Rock Mountcastle has commenced a federal investigation and will have the full support of the Department of Justice. Justice will prevail.”
Wouldn’t it just be awful for all of the anti-white radicals to have that justice prevail as a determination that the driver merely panicked as a result of their swarming tactics or that he was drunk, or had gotten angry at their blocking the roadway? The dead woman was white, many of the agitators in the crowd were white. It’s difficult to see how they make a case of racism out of this. They’ll have to try real hard.
There is racism involved, but it’s that of the Federal and State governments against white people and the removal of and rewriting and distorting of their heritage and our common history. AG Sessions isn’t likely to make that determination either. The anti-white movement is part of the subversion of America currently underway by the leftists in the establishment deep state. He’s not likely to take on that fight when he won’t even indict Hillary Clinton.
Don’t the radical victims bear some responsibility for the consequences of their own aggressive, illegal actions?
32-year-old Heather Heyer, a paralegal from Greene County, was killed while blocking the street in an unlawful assembly, or mass jay-walking. Don’t she and her fellow radicals bear some responsibility for the consequences of their own actions? What of the mayor who encouraged the lefties to come to his city to counter the “Unite the Right” event. He knew violence would result. He refused to order the police to clear his own thugs off the streets. He and McAuliffe created the situation that led to her death, deliberately. Streets are for cars, not marches, unless a permit has been obtained. There was none, it was intended by the AntiFas and commies she was marching with to simply trail the “Unite the Right” event and disrupt it.
Further illustrating the lynch mob that is doling out vigilante justice in this case at all levels and the wagons circling around the leftist orchestrators, Charlottesville Police Chief Al Thomas called the incident “premeditated violence” and said it “is being treated as a criminal homicide investigation.”
Is he saying he has proof that the kid got into his car and went out seeking AntiFas or commies to run over? Do they even need to bother with a trial or should Chief Thomas, a black man, just throw a rope over a street light and get this over with, save the taxpayers a few bucks?
The FBI said in a statement, “The Richmond FBI Field Office, the Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia have opened a civil rights investigation into the circumstances of the deadly vehicular incident that occurred earlier Saturday morning. The FBI will collect all available facts and evidence, and as this is an ongoing investigation we are not able to comment further at this time.”
It might be hard contorting this into fitting a hate crime definition – the dead woman was the same color as the suspect
Since the FBI only investigates hate crimes based upon the perpetrators acting upon a bias against the victim’s race, color, religion, national origin, actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or gender and this was a random act where there were victims of multiple and various descriptions, it might be hard to contort this into fitting the definition. The dead woman was white and not struck directly by the offender’s vehicle.
If the DOJ and FBI just want to make an example of this guy and teach America’s white boys to sit down, shut up and go away quietly into, or shall we say, out of history, then that’s a different story. As we’ve seen with Hillary Clinton, the corrupt Justice Department can and will do whatever it pleases and what it perceives as being in its own best interest irrespective of the law. We had hoped the Sessions DOJ would be different but those hopes are waning.
Perhaps AG Sessions will surprise us and conduct a fair and accurate investigation, exposing the complicity of the Democrat Governor McAuliffe, the mayor and the national radical left in creating this “Democrat opportunity.’ Perhaps he will expose the injustices they perpetrated against the event organizers and their role in forcing them out into an ambush.
Forcing the Unite the Right protesters into a Soros Antifa BLM ambush is a “Color of Law” violation by the City of Charlottesville
Maybe they’ll pursue a federal “Color of Law” statute investigation for those actions and their “Failure to keep from harm, a violation by public officials. Such a violation is described on the FBI website as, “The public counts on its law enforcement officials to protect local communities. If it’s shown that an official willfully failed to keep an individual from harm, that official could be in violation of the color of law statute.”
Forcing the “Unite the Right” event holders out into the waiting ambush by Soros AntiFa, Communists and Black Live Matter thugs certainly seems to fit that definition to the letter. That should be what they’re investigating. We’ll get an idea of what Sessions is made of before this is all over; and more insight into the strength and character of our President as well. Hopefully he’s still the ultimate defender of freedom and bulwark against a government rife with political corruption that we voted for.
Given the political climate and the scrutiny and constant attacks that President Trump is under by the leftists and political establishment he clearly had no choice but to launch an investigation and if it is done properly and in keeping with the law, and in observation of the points mentioned here, it could be a very good thing. There is also plenty of room for it to be another FBI – DOJ witch hunt, this time with the administration participating in its conduct.
