AG Jeff Sessions is increasingly being exposed as an agent of the deep state, working with other turncoats to subvert the Constitution and hiding criminal conduct by the powerful…
AG Jeff Sessions’ obstruction of justice and covering for the deep state criminals in the Justice Department continues with the missing of the deadline to submit documents ordered in a subpoena by the House Judiciary Committee.
Those documents, which have been withheld since mid-2017, relate to a variety of issues, most notably the sham investigation of Hillary Clinton regarding her criminal conduct around her emails. The documents in question also deal with FISA Warrant abuses, that include likely criminal conduct by Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, and the stifling of the Clinton Foundation investigations.
Judiciary Chairman Goodlatte issued the subpoena to DOJ two weeks ago after four months of waiting for a response to a written request issued four months earlier. The noon deadline came and went on Friday without the subpoenaed documents being provided.
Freedom Caucus Chairman, Rep Mark Meadows, who sits on the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee, was not amused by the snubbing from Sessions and the rogue criminals at DOJ.
He tweeted, “The deadline for the subpoena issued by Chairman Goodlatte was today at noon. We got no documents from the Department of Justice. Just a phone call. This is unacceptable–it’s time to stop the games. Turn over the documents to Congress and allow us to conduct oversight.”
A Republican staffer speaking on behalf of the Judiciary Committee told the Washington Examiner, “The Department of Justice has not yet complied with the subpoena and we are working with officials at DOJ to take immediate steps to comply with the subpoena and produce documents to the Committee.” a Republican House Judiciary Committee aide told the Washington Examiner.
One might expect, if Goodlatte was really as serious about getting these documents as he claims he is, that he’d be speaking regarding the issue himself, somewhere around the 12:01 pm mark on Friday. That didn’t happen. Goodlatte has a history of making grand statements, particularly in the area of illegal immigration, and then following them up with delays and no action.
Now he’s taking that space eating expertise to the running “impeachment, election and statute of limitations” clock in this battle for the truth to be revealed and the corrupt rich and powerful to be punished. He’s occupying an important position, one that needs to contain substance over what is proving to have been cheap Sunday show rhetoric.
FBI Director Christopher Wray has previously doubled the staff that has produced documents at a rate of under 1,000 per month to 54 from 27. With a backlog of 1.2 million documents that are currently under subpoena, that’s not going to cut it. Producing 2,000 documents per month, hand selected by the Clinton cover up operators at the FBI, is the same thing as producing none.
Instead Goodlatte’s message boy, the aide, said, “Until DOJ gets serious about providing Congress the adequate resources to conduct real oversight, there will continue to be problems.” Problems for the American people, we must assume, and none for the criminals Sessions and Wray are protecting.
Sarah Isgur Flores, a DOJ spokeswoman, stated that they are involved in “ongoing communication with Goodlatte” and that “He is aware of where his request stands.” Of course he is, he’s being told to go pound sand, that the oversight of the crooked DOJ that is mandated in the US Constitution means nothing, that the crooks with guns inside DOJ and the deep state overall are in charge. He’s aware of it, tucking his tail between his legs and letting them get away with it. Congress is only as strong and as honorable as the dubious cowards holding seats.
Whether he’s being shown once again as an empty suit or part of the cover up, preventing a serious Judiciary Committee investigation from taking place is immaterial. He’s retiring after this term and is not likely to make any waves as he exits. That buys Clinton another year on the clock.
As is theorized in this article, both Goodlatte and Gowdy would be very useful tools for Sessions and the criminal deep state orchestrating the next phases of the Clinton Protection Program and increasingly it seems that the reason Sessions was an early supporter of Donald Trump’s candidacy may have been so that the deep state would have one of their own on the inside, a lawyer and former prosecutor, who always wanted to be Attorney General.
The deadline for the subpoena issued by Chairman Goodlatte was today at noon. We got no documents from the Department of Justice. Just a phone call.
This is unacceptable–it’s time to stop the games. Turn over the documents to Congress and allow us to conduct oversight.
