Sessions Remembers He’s AG – Compares Open Borders California to Civil War South

AG Jeff Sessions is aggressively going after the sanctuary rebellion in California, filing a law suit and following it up with a speech to law enforcement. Comparing the Civil War…

Attorney General Jeff Sessions crawled out from his hiding place under his desk on Wednesday morning and delivered a speech to the California Peace Officers Association in the state capital of Sacramento. He doesn’t like obstructionism and the thwarting of justice when the shoe is on the other foot and he’s on the receiving end.   [[VIDEO BELOW]]

His speech came one day after DOJ filed a lawsuit against California over their defiance of federal immigration law and declaration of the state as a sanctuary for illegal aliens. In that suit they challenge three of California’s laws as being unconstitutional.

Sessions addressed the CPOA, saying, “Immigration law is the province of the federal government.  This Administration and this Justice Department are determined to make it work effectively for the people. I understand that we have a wide variety of political opinions out there on immigration.  But the law is in the books and its purpose is clear.”

He equated the lawless government of California with that of the rebellious southern states in the Civil War, saying, “There is no nullification.  There is no secession.  Federal law is “the supreme law of the land.”  I would invite any doubters to Gettysburg, and to the graves of John C. Calhoun and Abraham Lincoln.

Aware that the issue is symptomatic of the globalist Democrats’ drive to destroy our country, Sessions said, “A refusal to apprehend and deport those, especially the criminal element, effectively rejects all immigration law and creates an open borders system.  Open borders is a radical, irrational idea that cannot be accepted.”

He offered a rebuke to Oakland Mayor Libby “the libtard” Schaaf, who warned ICE targets and the City of Oakland of upcoming raids, saying, “How dare you. How dare you needlessly endanger the lives of law enforcement just to promote your radical open borders agenda.”

Though his delivery, even in the Senate, has always been jerky and sounded as if he is unsure and having trouble with many of the words, the content is the kind of stuff that Sessions should have been delivering on the entire enemy force of the Democratic Party, not just one mayor or a state, and specifically addressing those in DC who have hijacked the Department he oversees.

Sessions said the State of California is using every power it has as well as powers it doesn’t have to frustrate federal law enforcement. Now he knows how Congress and the American people feel after dealing with DOJ and trying to get answers and prosecutions of Clinton and her fellow criminals.

Now that Sessions has seen what it feels like to act as Attorney General, we can hope he likes it, and decides to try representing us in taking down the deep state mafia in DC. Illegals and the State of California are easy; lets see him in action to lock up Soros, Clinton and Obama.

There’s no comparison. The South was protecting itself from invasion by a foreign enemy — Lincoln’s Army. The South was not the aggressor. It was Lincoln’s War of Northen Aggression. Secession was legal and constitutional then and it still is. The confederation of independent sovereign states is voluntary. Reading about the states’ ratifying conventions makes that perfectly clear.

    • Truth! “NO SIR, YOU NOR ANYONE ELSE COULD PREVENT THE WAR…They had to have the money, no South no money and that was unacceptable.
“There will be no invasion accept to collect taxes.” A. Lincoln 1st inaugural April 1861
“All we ask is to be left alone.” Jefferson Davis April 1861
“Slavery was the pretext not the cause of the war.” William T. Sherman (the Union’s chief arsonist of which there were many)”

  2. Talk the talk but, can not walk the walk.

  3. i agree with Ben here.
but instead of talking we NEED ACTION FROM THE AG.
like ARREST ALL THOSE STATE VIOLATORS OF OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS.

  4. Sessions gives another good speech, and he is right about the law being on his side. Instead of speeches he should actually do what he is saying, and start holding lawless politicians accountable.

He should also start deporting, or at least getting DHS to deport illegals. A few hundred here and a few hundred there is not going to work, especially when 1000s are coming in.

There is no shortage of the R side of the uni-party telling us what must happen. Maybe we should stop the useless wars, as Trump said on the campaign, and deploy troops along the border with massive deportations until the wall is built.
