Schiff – COMEY EXCEEDING His Authority Was OK For Clinton, But Not Trump

CNN propagandist Wolf Blitzer provided California Democrat Rep Adam “Shifty” Schiff with the customary leftist sounding board and platform from which to attack President Trump or speak in service to the siege in general. In his Wednesday comments Schiff spoke regarding the text of Comey’s testimony provided in advance of his appearance before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday. It’s an appearance which will require Comey, in order to preclude himself from self-incrimination, to support the statements of President Trump. The Democrats, including Schiff, are obviously disappointed.

Blitzer starts things off by asking, “Were you surprised to read in Comey’s testimony that he did, in fact, tell the President on three separate occasions that the President was not under investigation?” Perhaps Schiff and Blitzer are still accustomed to every word coming from the White House occupant being a lie, having refused to accept that Donald Trump is now the President and that the imposter squatting there before is really gone. Returning to the “good old days” of a pathological, lying criminal in the White House is,  after all, the reason they’re engaged in this whole Russia hoax to begin with, supporting the narrative of Hillary Clinton.

Schiff, in what flows as the scripted question and answer session that it is, replies, “I was surprised by that and frankly I don’t think that was appropriate for the Director to do. I think that if there’s a decision made to tell someone who’s a potential subject of an investigation that they’re not a target of the investigation, that decision is made by the Justice Department, it’s not made by the FBI. And here this  again goes to, I think, the director overstepping the responsibility of the FBI and intruding on the prerogative of the Department of Justice.”

Of course he’s fine with Comey making the decision not to proceed with a criminal prosecution of Hillary Clinton for innumerable felonies and acts of subversion against the United States, an act that was totally beyond the purview of the FBI and within the realm of the DOJ. That’s different, that protects the Democrats and their criminal standard bearer.

Schiff continues his disingenuous little shtick, saying, “And I have to say I do have some questions also about the logic and the rationale that I couldn’t raise these concerns with the department because the Attorney General was going to recuse himself. I don’t think any of us knew that until the moment that he announced it. Clearly the President didn’t know that, so I’m not sure that the director could say that with such certitude, but there was an acting person in that role who the director could have gone to.

Schiff adds, “And the fact that there may have been expectation that he wouldn’t be there indefinitely is also, to me, not a compelling reason not to bring this to the attention of someone at the Justice Department.”

It’s not adding up for Schiff because it’s all a scheme for Comey to attack President Trump on behalf of his fellow Democrat operatives, as Schiff must surely be aware. That’s why it’s not adding up for Shifty, because it’s all a bunch of hooey, the same kind he dispense with great regularity. Undoubtedly he recognizes it for what it is, the questions are what is Comey up too and what angle is Schiff taking in capitalizing or running interference for the anti-America leftists.

  1. My local “Liberal” radio host has been bragging about how “Trump is going down today!”
I can even visualize him rubbing his hands together, nervously, with his eyes bulging out of his head and saliva dripping down his chin.

The “Schiffless” one is clearly “out of his depth” and flat-ass wrong about the differing duties of the FBI and the DOJ when he states, “I was surprised by that (the fact, that James Comey told the President on three separate occasions that he was not under investigation) and frankly I don’t think that was appropriate for the Director to do. I think that if there’s a decision made to tell someone who’s a potential subject of an investigation that they’re not a target of the investigation, that decision is made by the Justice Department, it’s not made by the FBI. And here this again goes to, I think, the director overstepping the responsibility of the FBI and intruding on the prerogative of the Department of Justice.” What a total crock!!!

The FBI INVESTIGATES (as their name implies); and, the Director of the FBI is fully within his unilateral power to inform anyone IF they ARE or ARE NOT being investigated. On the other hand, the FBI is NOT supposed to decide whether an actual subject of an investigation (i.e., Hillary Clinton) will be prosecuted…or not. THAT is 100% up to the AG at the DOJ; and that is where James Comey, as Director of the FBI, clearly overstepped his authority by testifying that “no reasonable prosecutor” would indict Hillary.

Someone needs to inform Schiff that he needs to issue a apology for publicly emphasizing his ignorance.

  3. Hopefully, Schiff is losing his steam and will soon return to his natural level of insignificance.
