Sarah Huckabee Sanders provided some background on the DACA shutdown that President Trump has ordered, the ending of an illegal program that violated the law with every amnesty granted and every day it was in operation.
She makes the very valid point that President Trump is in all likelihood giving this Obama scam upon the American people a longer life than it would have had if he had done nothing.
A federal judge was going to have to rule based upon a multi-state challenge and that same court had already ended the similar DAPA program for illegal border-crashing parents.
She reminds the nation that Obama referred to DACA as a “temporary stop gap measure” and at the time he demanded obedience from Congress they had already previously decided against similar legislation.
Sanders makes the point that DACA grants work authorizations to people who are not legally authorized to work. Those illegal work permits are now being gradually phased out.
She also reminds us that President Trump was elected to put the American people first, and that includes giving them access to American jobs.
Sanders stresses the need for compassion for the unemployed American citizens, and that they should not be put behind the foreign squatters. She challenged Congress who, despite having decided against this type of action prior to the Obama dictate, are again in a position to have to do so.
She then goes into a bit of a pandering and deflective portion of her presentation, which is likely included for the anticipated public relations benefits. She puts forth the notion that the American people want and deserve an immigration system that is not broken and states that ours is in need of reform.
That’s only minimally true, primarily it’s in need of enforcement, which is what President Trump is trying to do and is being fought tooth and nail every step of the way by the open border globalists, both Democrat and Republican.
Aside from a system for tracking visa overstays, most of our system would work fine if the system as a whole were simply allowed to operate as intended. A return to the true meaning of the word “refugee” is needed, as is a dispensation with the automatic court distant dates and free attorneys for illegals apprehended. Unaccompanied minors should not be accepted by DHS and dispersed throughout the US as they wait for a court date that will inevitably be missed.
The saving grace in this shovel pass to Congress is their own ineptitude. They’ve got a full calendar of items that Americans care about, including tax reform, a budget and the border wall. They rejected this leftist tripe once, it’s not likely Paul Ryan, who will be facing a primary challenger next year, will be willing to gamble his future on so visibly screwing over the American people.
