Tucker Carlson calls upon the expertise of John Yoo, a professor at UC Berkley and former deputy assistant attorney general under George W. Bush regarding the abuses of power of Oakland Mayor Libby “the libtard” Shaaf in warning illegal aliens that ICE raids were imminent.

After first playing a clip of acting ICE Director Tom Homan equating Schaaf with a gang lookout warning that a police cruiser had just entered the neighborhood, Carlson asks if there was anything illegal about what Schaaf did, asking if states are allowed to subvert federal law.

Yoo replies that they are not, that the Constitution and Supreme Court are quite clear on the matter. “Immigration law is the sole preserve of the federal government and so the federal government has the right to enforce its laws. The federal government can’t commandeer or compel state officers to help them but state officers cannot impede or obstruct federal law.”

Yoo reminds Carlson, “We had a civil war about this, this is what the Civil War was really about, was whether state officials could block national federal laws.” Yoo says, “It’s not fascist to what to obey the federal laws passed by the people we elected in Congress. That’s the way our system works.”

“If mayors and state governors oppose the Trump administration’s immigration priorities,” says Yoo, ” then our Constitution set up a system, you go and elect new members of Congress and they change the law.”

Carlson shifts to the efforts by the State of California and the City of Chicago to make it easier for illegal aliens to vote illegally, asking, “Why doesn’t the US government do something about that?” Aside from the obvious two word answer, “Jeff Sessions,” Yoo points out the mayors are “encouraging the subversion of federal law. They are coming very close to obstruction of justice.”

He goes on to define obstruction of justice as “corruptly impeding or obstructing federal officers who are trying to carry out their legal duty. So if the mayors are trying to get people to vote who aren’t supposed to vote or, as in Oakland, you have a mayor who is trying to warn people that federal officers are coming to carry out federal law, I think you’re coming very close, if not stepping over the line to obstruction of justice.

For so long as there remains the concept of justice in this nation under siege, that sounds like exactly what the criminal Democrats are doing. That leads us back to Carlson’s question of why the federal government isn’t locking these mayors up or taking other legal action against them, which then leads us immediately back to that two word answer. It’s because Jeff Sessions is likewise obstructing justice.

DOJ is the criminal mafia that won’t prosecute itself.

4 Comments on Sanctuary Officials Obstructing Justice – Lucky For Them, So Is Jeff Sessions

  1. The DOJ, FBI, and other alphabet law agencies have been pretty much proven to be corrupt. Whether it was the big0 or just built up over decades seems obvious.

The fact that it goes on, IMO, goes right to the oval office, because Trump can certainly replace Sessions with a pit bull. So I think, unless there is a very quick reversal, this entire corruption is being enabled. At one time I thought this might be the biggest under cover operation in history, but it is getting worse not better.

  2. you know in a lot of major cities they have a civilian board setup to OVERSEE THE ACTIONS OF COPS.
so i’d say we NEED A PASSEL of those boards to oversee those GOVERNORS AND MAYORS and when found in VIOLATION AS THE ARE TO TAKE ACTION.
because those PEOPLE NEED LOCKED ASAP AND AS EXAMPLE TO STOP THIS INSURACTION, because that’s what IT IS.

  3. It all comes down to balls. With no one with balls, there is no game.

Fortunately for them, Sessions is the AG. ‘Nuff said…
