Open borders globalist RINO Senator Jeff Flake attempted to defend his surrender of American sovereignty and advocacy for DACA amnesty, the current slice of the amnesty pie the leftists are pushing.
In response to a tweet of his that the United States needs to take immediate action to help DACA “kids,” many of whom are adults, CNN’s Dana Bash plays a clip of President Trump making a campaign promise we wish he had kept and which is still driving this conversation.
Trump promises in the clip, “We will immediately terminate ‘president’ Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties, in which he defied federal law and the Constitution to give [amnesty] to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants.” Bash asks why President Trump should go back on that popular promise.
The “Gang of Eight” amnesty Flake says, “Because it would be the right thing to do to go back on a promise. Obviously you hope that presidents keep some of their campaign promises and you hope that they ignore others. (That the others were just lies to get votes) This is one that he ought to ignore.”
Flake goes on to propagandize, saying, “There are 800,000 DACA “kids,” kids who were brought across the border. The median age, I think, is six-years-old for those 800,000 when they came across the border. They should not be punished for the sins of their parents.”
Living in their own country is not punishment, Flake. Everyone outside the US is not being punished on a daily basis for living in the country they were born in. We could punish the DACA parents with jail time, that would be a possibility and choose not to punish the kids for coming in with them as it was beyond their control. Repatriating them to their own country is not punishment.
Flake admits in attempting to show them as responsible that over 90% of them are in the workforce, meaning they’re not kids and they’re taking American jobs. Asked if he would trade DACA for a border wall, Flake hedges, saying “we really haven’t seen what he means by a wall.” Use your imagination, Flake.
Flake contends that if the border wall is just an abstract metaphor where nothing happens to keep people out then he would support it. If it’s a real structure that keeps out illegal invaders and protects American jobs then no, he couldn’t and doesn’t believe anyone should.
He’s asked how he can win reelection with President Trump attacking him and the Flake attacking the Trump voters. He goes into alternate reality and cites RINO John McCain as the type of Senator the Arizona citizens want. That’s it. If he really believes that he’s not only a liar he’s insane. If he knows better, he’s just a horrible liar. On all counts Flake needs to be defeated, hopefully Ms. Ward will be able to pull it off this time around.
