Secretary of State Pompeo didn’t like the partisan attacks, thinly disguised as questions, being hurled at Trump during Senate testimony, and left dimwit Dem Udall…
Globalist, anti-American political hack, Senator Tom “You Dull” Udall (D-NM) bit off much more than he could chew in picking fights with Secretary of State Pompeo by asking insulting, demeaning questions which were little more than a false pretext upon which to make unfounded accusations against President Trump.
Udall first crafted a protective bubble around himself in concealing charges of making decision that benefit Trump properties in a matter related to Chinese telecommunications company ZTE. Udall uses the customary vague assertion that Democrats are so fond of in making their unfounded claims. [[WATCH VIDEO BELOW]]
He says, “Many observers have found these events and their timing strange, I would say very strange, as you know the Trump organization owns assets around the world, in India, the Middle East, Panama and it pursued a project in Russia well into 2016. Members of Congress and the executive branch are under an ethical duty to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest.”
He asks, “Do you agree that there is at least an appearance of a conflict of interest with this sequence of events with China? Pompeo replies, “Senator, I haven’t seen any indication that would support the connection that you seem to be drawing. I was part of the conversation early and then frankly, more recently about ZTE. I knew about ZTE from my previous role, I knew about it when I was a member of Congress as well, this administration takes the threat that ZTE poses incredibly seriously.”
Pompeo reminds him of the Democrat Obama’s failures in that regard, saying, “Indeed, it’s the first administration to take any action against ZTE in spite of the fact that it’s been a known threat to the United States of America for years.”
He says, “Previous administration chose to do literally nothing against ZTE and so the critiques that this administration has not done enough and the ‘many others’ that you refer to, I don’t know who they are, aren’t reflective of the deliberations that I’ve seen this administration undertake with respect to how to respond to ZTE.”
The whiny scumbag Democrat then gets personal, asking how Pompeo can assure Americans that President Trump isn’t essentially mimicking the conduct of Hillary Clinton, Hussein Obama and John Kerry in personally enriching himself since his tax records have not been provided to Congress.
Pompeo responds, “Senator, I find that question bizarre.” Udall gets pissy, saying, “You don’t want to answer it then, you just want to describe it as bizarre and not give me an answer.” Pompeo says, “Yes I do, I think that’s indicative of my answer, Senator. I’ve been incredibly involved in this administration’s foreign policy now for some 16 months and I have seen literally no evidence of what you are scurrilously, scurrilously suggesting. It is an outrageous suggestion.”
Udall attempts to defend the appropriateness of his questioning by saying it’s not scurrilous, “this has been raised by a number of people.” Pompeo laughs in his face and says, “Yes sir, it has. You want me to tell you who those folks are, what their political interests may well be?” Udall mockingly says “I know, it’s fake news, now let me ask my question.”
Udall then goes on to accuse President Trump of considering what benefits his personal business again, in a situation with Panama. It must be real easy to get elected Senator in New Mexico, with not much required in the way of processing power between the ears. Pompeo tells the Senator that he has never seen the administration make any decision based upon anything like he’s suggesting, adding he doesn’t know how else to answer the question. Udall tells him that’s all he wanted was a straight answer.
Pompeo replies to slow-learner Udall, “I’m not sure that was exactly your point, there, Senator,” letting him know he’s fully aware of the insinuations he’s trying to make and the efforts to manipulate Pompeo he was unwisely attempting. He’s not smart enough to trap Pompeo and also appears too stupid to recognize that fact.
