Rand Paul – Borrowing a MILLION a MINUTE Is a ROTTEN Trillion Dollar Deficit Deal

Senator Rand Paul says the agreement reached in the Senate is not very Republican-like, they’re acting like spend-crazy Democrats. Having seven wars ongoing is taking its toll…

rand paul budget deal

Senator Rand Paul opposes the Senate Budget deal, telling Neal Cavuto it’s because “It spends too much money, borrows too much money and, actually, we’re going to bring back Obama-era deficits. I was elected to combat Obama-era deficits.”

He says, “I remember running for office and saying we’re going to have trillion dollar annual deficits. That’s what we’re going to have this year. So now it’s Republicans in charge, busting all of the spending caps. The Democrats are complicit. Both parties, the establishment, want to spend more money. And I think part of the reason the markets are so jittery is they worry about the long-term imbalance of government debt.”

Paul reminds Cavuto that we have a twenty trillion dollar debt and we’re adding another trillion to it. He says, “This is a rotten deal and not good for any of those of us who believe that you can get too much debt for a country to bear.”

Paul says, “I’m not advocating for either shutting down the government. I’m also not advocating for keeping the damn thing open and borrowing a million dollars a minute. This is reckless spending that is out of control.”

He points out, “And you know the thing is we think when Democrats are in charge that the Republicans are the conservative party. The problem is when the Republicans are in charge there’s no conservative party and that’s kind of where we are now.”   [[VIDEO BELOW]]

Paul says, “Someone has to stand up and say, ‘You should spend what comes in, we should balance our ledger. And that used to be what it meant to be conservative, but a lot of so-called conservatives lose their mind once it becomes a partisan thing and they say ‘We must govern now.’ So they govern by giving us massive new debt.”

“And I don’t think that’s good for the country,” says Paul, “I think that ultimately it threatens our security, not only our external security but also the internal foundation of the country is threatened by so large a debt.”

Senator Paul says, “We have to say, ‘Are we the conservative party or are we just like the Democrats?’ This looks like a Democrat budget to me, the Democrats are complicit in it and frankly, there have been loud voices saying, oh, oh, oh, we have to dramatically increase the military budget. We’ve doubled the military budget since 9/11/2001, we’ve doubled it.”

He notes, “We’ve had an enormous amount of spending, we just have too much war. The war in Afghanistan is costing us $15 billion a year. We’d have a lot more money and I could give a raise to every soldier out there if we’d just come home from Afghanistan. It’s time to come home, there is no military victory there.”

Paul continues, “And I said the other day, you know, you guys want to have a parade, let’s bring them home from Afghanistan, all 14,000 of them, declare victory, we got the enemy, we killed Bin Laden. Our problem is in our foreign policy we do not know how to declare victory. We continue to fight and fight and fight to try to create a nation, and we’re just not very good at nation building.”

He adds, “It’s time to come home and do some nation building in our country.”

Why are these swamp rats complaining about the budget now? When Obama was president he doubled our national debt. Don’t blame Trump for that. The bottom line is we need to build up our military AND BUILD THE WALL. Think of how much we could save without supporting half of the world with Welfare, food stamps and Medicaid. I have to pay for my food and medical expenses, what about you. The Washington swamp rats get a 70% subsidy for their medical expenses through Obamacare also. That’s why there has been no cure for it. We need to deport ALL OF THE FREE LOADER ILLEGALS AND SYRIAN AND OTHER REFUGEES. Think of how much money we would save if we did only that, billions. Paul is barking up the wrong tree just to get points to support his running for president. How can the American people be so stupid. I know how, they were going to elect one of the biggest, nastiest liars that was ever born to be our president.

were like ROME was in it’s last days.
their Military was STRETCHED OUT OVER THEIR LIMITS AND FOREVER IN WAR.
their Senate was also a CESSPOOL, like OUR CONGRESS IS TODAY.
constitutionally OUR MILITARY IS ONLY OBLIGATED TO DEFEND OUR SHORES, and our GOVT HAS NO AUTHORITY TO TRY AND SPREAD DEMOCRACY ANYWHERE, OR TRY AND CHANGE ANOTHER COUNTRIES CULTURE OR POLICIES or HOW THEY TREAT THEIR PEOPLE.
and were NOT THE WORLD’S POLICEMEN.
were dealing with a RUN AWAY UNCONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY INSTEAD OF A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.
AND A DEMOCRACY IS MOB RULE, AND AS SUCH THEY CAN’T GOVERN.
and ALL ALPHABET AGENCIES ARE ALSO UNCONSTITUTIONAL, AND ONLY WE THE PEOPLE CAN CHANGE IT BACK AND NOT BY VOTING I ASSURE ALL OF YOU.

I agree a lot with Sen. Rand Paul and his opinions. This Afganistan thing has gone on long enough. How many are actually using it for an excuse to pad their bank account. Start rebuilding America.
It also sounds like McConnell and many other Republican’s are bending over again for Democrats. It’s no wonder Obama was never Impeeached for all his unconstitutional Acts. There was something in for the RINO’s.
2009 a lot of people should have gone to Prison then on the Uranium Deal Agreement.
The Unilateral Decision to bring all those refugees here in 2012-2015.
We need more Transparency of where this a Funding is going.

    • McConnell is bending over for the dems. But, more so for the establishment and the military-industrial complex. He’s screwing the nation and he’s screwing the people of the future. Of course, he’s getting a lot of help from his pal, Schumer.

Let’s hope the Bill fails in the house. If it passes, we lose big. What will we do about it? More talk?

  4. Rand Paul is right. I always like Paul and his economic and foreign policy made sense. The only issues I somewhat didn’t like were some of his social leanings. I believe he would truly build the economy and especially if he had his father audit the Federal Reserve and shut it down.

A lot of the millennial types support him and if he could get a campaign team like Trump did with Bannon, Miller, Lewandowsi, build his “celebrity” status, go after the PC crowd, I believe he could win. I don’t know how he could get enough money.
