It’s as if Hussein Obama is attempting to poison America’s relationship with the Philippines, to do everything he can to tweak President Duterte before he leaves office and leave behind as much friction and damage to be repaired as possible. Why should our relationship with the island nation escape what has been standing operating procedure in every aspect of the pretend ‘presidency’ of Obama?
On Saturday a clearly irritated and insulted Duterte told the United States to prepare to make their exit and a repeal of the agreement that allows US troops to be deployed and conduct military exercises. Duterte said, “bye-bye America,” we don’t need you money.
If he can hang on until his antagonist, Hussein Obama leaves, Duterte has expressed positive feelings for the incoming administration, saying of Mr. Trump, “I like your mouth, it’s like mine, yes Mr. President. We are similar and people with the same feathers flock together.”
Duterte made his comments upon his return from visiting Cambodia and Singapore. Duterte addressed his comments towards the United States, though, not towards Obama individually. He said, “We do not need you” and “prepare to leave the Philippines. Prepare for the eventual repeal or abrogation of the VFA.”
The Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), signed in 1998, accords legal status to thousands of U.S. troops who were rotated in the country for military exercises and humanitarian assistance operations.
He said, “Bye, bye America and work on the protocols that will eventually move you out of the Philippines.” Duterte said his decision would come “any day soon” after reviewing another military deal, Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement.
Duterte was responding to a decision by the Millennium Challenge Corp (MCC) board to defer vote on the re-selection of Manila for compact development due to human rights issues. Of course the human rights record in Saudi Arabia is much worse than in the Philippines, where the only “offense” is a crackdown on illegal drugs, the dealers and the cartels. Women drive, hold important positions, and are equal with men in every regard, yet rather than berate their leadership Obama bows to them, like a common slave.
President Duterte does not accept being lectured by a globalist snob well at all or having his nation impacted negatively for failing to follow his dictates. He said, “We do not need the money. China said they will provide so many,” he said. “The politics here in Southeast Asia is changing.”
Obama surely knows that. It’s almost as if he’s trying to drive the Philippines into the Chinese camp. That would be a major mistake, one that would be a huge step towards the establishment of Chinese hegemony throughout this very important region.
