How dare the parents of Otto Warmbier issue a statement critical of the way Hussein Obama mishandled the captivity of their son by North Korea. Sure, their lives have been hell over the past year and a half but still Obama expects them to keep things in perspective and revere him in the appropriate manner. Nobody could have done more to obtain the release of their son than he did. He did everything but send Dennis Rodman over. Maybe he should have tried that – his bad.
He gave it at least as much effort as he did with James Foley, although we might not know it because he didn’t make a speech about it. Obama learned from that disaster not to schedule those things too close to a tee time and it seemed like there wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t have a round to get in. But still, he thought about it from time to time.
Obama doesn’t like being disrespected, so he had no choice but to send his errand boy out to make a brief statement. They might be upset but nothing gives those parents the right to speak ill of our former “Dear Leader.” His spokesman, Ned Price, said on his behalf, “During the course of the Obama Administration, we had no higher priority than securing the release of Americans detained overseas. Their tireless efforts resulted in the release of at least 10 Americans from North Korean custody during the course of the Obama administration.”
At least ten? Is that not something that they kept actual records of? Is he not sure which ransom payment went where, perhaps confusing North Korea with Iran or his own personal account? Price added, “It is painful that Mr. Warmbier was not among them, but our efforts on his behalf never ceased, [because they never really started] even in the waning days of the administration. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Warmbier’s family and all who had the blessing of knowing him.”
Of course Price is lying, they had many higher priorities, getting a deal with Iran to give them a jackpot of cash and free them of international sanctions was one. Committing the United States to a ridiculous world welfare program under the guise of saving the planet, the Paris Summit, was a much higher priority as well. Instigating a race war and targeting police for execution by thugs were much higher on the official “to do” list.
It’s interesting that since President Trump came into office, all of those “murderous cops” seem to have had a change of heart. Maybe all police officers really weren’t blood sport racists out to kill black men for no reason. Perhaps those “crazy right-wingers” were correct after all, it was the agitator in the White House who was behind it all. One we were rid of him, sort of, the problem went with him.
Otto Warmbier’s dad expressed his opinion of the Obama efforts, saying in a news conference at the time of his release, “The question is, do I think the past administration could have done more? I think the results speak for themselves.”
President Trump issued a similar statement this week, saying “the results would have been different” had Warmbier been brought home sooner. He added, “He should have been brought home that day.” Warmbier had been sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for stealing a propaganda poster from a hotel while visiting Pyongyang in January of 2016.
