Words matter and in noting that, as it turns out, it was actually the Obama regime which set up the initial meeting between then-Senator Jeff Sessions and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. “Set up” may indeed be the most appropriate way of describing the arrangements.
As an early supporter of President Trump, Sessions clearly drew a large and irresistible bullseye on his back. Even ahead of the Republican convention it was obvious that there was a strong likelihood that Sessions would be given a significant role in the Trump administration if he were to win. Democrats and the anti-American establishment plan their actions well in advance and allow for a wide variety of contingencies.
It does seem a bit odd, given the adversarial relationship between the Obama regime, Democrats, establishment types, globalists and the Trump campaign, that they would participate in the organization of a speaking event at the Republican Convention by Senator Sessions. They’re not non-partisan and these were the same Republicans hammering them for their obstructionism and dishonesty in the Clinton matter.
Attorney Hans A. von Spakovsky, a former civil rights counsel for the Justice Department who also served two years as a member of the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), reveals the details behind that first “chance” meeting between the Russian ambassador and Sessions. He revealed in a Fox News opinion piece:
So what are the two meetings that Sessions had? The first came at a conference on “Global Partners in Diplomacy,” where Sessions was the keynote speaker. Sponsored by the U.S. State Department, The Heritage Foundation, and several other organizations, it was held in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention.
The conference was an educational program for ambassadors invited by the Obama State Department to observe the convention. The Obama State Department handled all of the coordination with ambassadors and their staff, of which there were about 100 at the conference.
It was the Obama Kerry State Department, which was so heavily politicized against the Trump administration that incoming Secretary of State Rex Tillerson fired the entire 7th floor management staff, that made the arrangements.
The GOP convention took place in between July 18th and 21st of last year. Obama visitor logs indicate that Ambassador Kislyak attended a meeting with White House officials in that same month, July of 2016. Was it in preparation for an ambush or to plot the next phase? Only Kislyak and some well-placed globalists know for sure.
The second meeting between Senator Sessions and Kislyak took place in September of 2016. In an odd “coincidence,” visitor logs indicate Kislyak also met with White House insider and John Holdren in September. Maybe there were a few loose ends they needed to clean up or wanted to go over the details of their scheme and knew that there would be eavesdropping if it weren’t done in person.
Spakovsky notes, “That’s the first ‘meeting.’ And it’s hardly an occasion—much less a venue—in when a conspiracy to “interfere” with the November election could be hatched.” But it was the perfect venue for setting up an unmemorable encounter for Senator Sessions to honestly not recall later in Senate testimony, which was likely the goal in the first place. It would also provide a basis for the subsequent call by Kislyak to set up a second meeting, equally unmemorable, with which to lay the foundation for claims of collusion and demands for recusal and a resignation.
Why would the Democrats see the Republican Convention as a showcase for the process in our nation when the Democrats were holding a similar affair soon afterwards? What, other than a set up would explain their actions? They may not have been planning to lose, but they are smart, dishonest and devious enough to allow for the possibility that they would lose and to give themselves this kind of options.
