One hour after RINO Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) signed a massive attack on the Second Amendment into law the NRA was in a court house filing their challenge on constitutional grounds. The new law, signed on Friday,  calls for waiting periods for long guns, firearm confiscation by the government and a ban on bump stocks.

It also raises the age at which one can legally purchase a rifle or shotgun in the state to 21 from 18. It is that provision that is the foundation of the legal action by the NRA.

Marion Hammer spoke for the NRA, telling Breitbart News that they “filed a lawsuit in federal court against the State of Florida for violating the constitutional rights of young adults between the ages of 18-21.”

She added, “The gun control provisions in this bill do not enhance school safety. They merely punish law-abiding citizens for the actions of a mentally ill murderer as well as the failure of government officials who did not do their jobs.”

The action, which comes in the aftermath of the Parkland, Florida massacre, is the next step down the slippery slope to disarmament.

The Constitution does not place an age requirement on the Second Amendment, but it does state that the right to bear arms shall not be infringe upon. With 18 considered universally to be the age at which children officially make the transition to adulthood, the state is acting inappropriately by infringing on the rights of citizens of 18, 19 and 20 year-of-age to purchase the now restricted firearms.

Once you empower the government to remove the Constitutional rights of citizens they will not stop until we are all helpless and unable to repel their tyranny. As the eight Obama years and the unraveling corruption at the DOJ and FBI have demonstrated, tyranny will undoubtedly be the result. This law can’t be allowed to stand.

Democrst’s sure know how to waste time and money. It could all be used to come up with a better solution and implement it with the funds they’d spend on this ludicrist law.
Any thing to Delay and Distract.
Good for the NRA. Thank God We have them.

  2. Good deal. Someone needs to do it. We need to push back on this constant infringement on our rights. It’s not just national elections that are destroying us the local crooks are just as bad.

  3. if one is OLD ENOUGH TO CARRY A RIFLE INTO COMBAT, THEY ARE OLD ENOUGH TO BUY A FIREARM.

  4. Obviously, the Gov is being pushed and intimidated by the Socialist DemocRATS with their position being financed by Communist George Soros. As a person who has been very involved with and fired many different weapons since I was 6 years old, I find it appalling but not surprising to see that the short sighted Gov signed the paperwork. It could cost him his Gov position!!! A very large percentage of senior and other FL citizens who are also NRA members won’t be happy with his decision…and they VOTE!!!
