Despite President Trump tweeting to the contrary and other mixed messaging coming out of the rudderless, drifting NFL, the organization announced on Friday that it has no plans to require its pampered prima donna employees to stand for the national anthem. Goodell will, for the time being, continue to permit them to insult the fans and disrespect the flag.
Essentially, the owners are joining their hired thugs in attacks on America and Americans and our national symbols, as it is their representatives, while being paid and in their uniforms, who are engaged in the vile conduct.
The NFL said on Friday it has no plans to mandate that players stand for our national anthem, but is looking for a way out that will allow them to attack the American people as being privileged racists without actually using the flag or anthem of America in the manner they are now enabling them to do. Somehow we’re supposed to see that as a solution.
Leftist tool and commissioner Roger Goodell will meet with NFL owners and the head of the NFL Players Association in New York on October 17th and 18th with this issue set to dominate discussions.
Refusing to acknowledge or accept that we’re not tuning in or making a trip to a stadium for a political scolding or indoctrination lecture on the “evils of America,” NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart said, “(Goodell) has a plan that he is going to present to owners about how to use our platform to both raise awareness and make progress on issues of social justice and equality in this country.”
Equality in this case doesn’t mean giving every American a couple million a year like the NFL players get, but giving a sector of society, black Americans, more privilege and supremacy over white folks.
In refuting the rumors that the feckless Goodell had taken a position against the disrespectful punks in pads, Lockhart added, “What we don’t have is a proposal that changes our policy, we don’t have something that mandates anything. That’s clear. If that was the case I doubt the head of the NFLPA would have put a joint statement out with us.”
He added, “These are issues that are important to our clubs, issues that are important to our players, issues that are important to the communities in which we play.”
The fact that they’re not only unimportant and not legitimate to most of their fans, and being conducted in an inappropriate and offensive manner means nothing to the NFL. They seem almost oblivious to the fury that is resulting in losses of increasing amounts of revenue and the difficult to regain fan support they are bleeding week after week.
Even that huge financial hit seems like something they are willing to accept in exchange for being able to extort societal favoritism and privilege while attacking police and white folks. We must remember this is the Obama – Holder – Soros play book from Ferguson advancing towards its logical and intended conclusion and it’s only just beginning. The league is a propaganda arm of the leftists just as the media is and they are following the instructions of their puppeteers.
Lockhart added, “That’s what we are discussing. So for everyone who has speculated over the last few days that somehow there is a proposal that is set for a vote on Tuesday or Wednesday, you are speculating. Those who are reporting it as fact are reporting it incorrectly.”
He’s a mouthpiece for the left attempting to facilitate the transition into whatever they have up their sleeve for the meetings. If it were a positive, like back to just playing football, they could do it in a conference call and the issue would already be resolved. They’re going to give us another reason not to watch.
It’s worth noting that the baseball playoffs are heating up. Those players aren’t lecturing anybody; they’re just playing ball.
