First we learned of President Trump and and other members of his team being surveilled, likely illegally, by the Obama regime. Then came the news of unmasking of General Michael Flynn, Carter Page and potentially many others. Rand Paul, Senator and 2016 presidential candidate, has been told he was likely surveilled and his identity unmasked and has sought the details. Susan Rice has been identified and is being investigated as operating in a rogue manner to illegally unmask the identities of untold numbers of American citizens. That unmasking apparently took place in the normal course of her “duties” as a political operative exceeding her authority from the safety of within the Obama regime, working to get Hillary Clinton elected.
Now another GOP presidential candidate, Senator Lindsey Graham, reveals that he has also been told by members of the Intelligence community that his identity was unmasked in conversations that he had with foreign individuals who he’s told were under surveillance. He’s not too happy about it.
Graham was interviewed by Fox News’ Shannon Bream on Friday. A clip is shown of Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway asking why the mainstream media is ignoring the fact that three top level officials of the Obama regime have been subpoenaed by the House of Representatives.” Bream identifies the three individuals as former CIA Director, John Brennan, former National Security Adviser Susan Rice and former UN Ambassador Samantha Power.
She asks Graham, “How concerned are you about that part of the story,” to which Graham replies, “I have reason to believe that a conversation that I had was picked up with some foreign leader or some foreign person and somebody requested that my conversation be unmasked. I’ve been told that by people in the intelligence community.”
Graham – Was There Politicization of the Intelligence Gathering Process?
Graham continues, “All I can say is there are 1,950 collections on American citizens talking to people that were foreign agents being surveilled either by the CIA, the FBI or the NSA. Here’s the concern. Did the people in the Obama administration listen in to these conversations? Was there politicizing of the intelligence gathering process? So what I want to know, of the 1,950 incidental collections on American citizens, how many of them involved presidential candidates, members of Congress from either party, and if these conversations were unmasked, who made the request? Because I want to know everything there is about unmasking, how it works and who requested unmasking of conversations between foreign people and American members of Congress.”
Graham says he’s got information that suggests he was incidentally collected but that he doesn’t know whether or not he was unmasked. The very fact that he was told his name came up in incidental collection would indicate that he was unmasked, as otherwise nobody would have known his identity to warn him.
He says he’s sent a letter to the NSA, FBI, and the CIA, requesting “any collection on Lindsey Graham.” Graham reminds the viewers that if there is a reason to suspect that a member of Congress is committing a crime, the procedure is the same as it is for any other America, you go get a warrant “to follow us around like you would any other citizen.”
Graham adds, “But I meet with foreign leaders all the time and I would be upset if any executive branch agency listened in onto my conversations because I’m in another branch of government.”
