Franken didn’t really say he was retiring, he said he’s going to retire, maybe in a few weeks. Maybe not. LImbaugh says if Roy Moore wins Franken won’t resign, he’ll have a new
Rush Limbaugh addresses the language and the manner in which pervy Al Franken announced his possible, eventual, if he feels like it, when he gets darn good and ready, resignation from the Senate and what might well be his clever reason for doing so.
Limbaugh says, “I’m telling you, he still hasn’t resigned, not technically. What he announced is intention to resign in the coming weeks. I’m telling you this guy has left himself an out.”
He says, “So the Roy Moore election is going to be the determinant here. If Roy Moore loses then Franken will say, “Okay, I’ve got to quit. But if Roy Moore wins, he set the table for this today. ‘It’s ironic that I’m resigning when the Republican Party’s prepared to elect a child molester.”
Limbaugh warns, “He set the table for not leaving today, depending on that election. You mark my words.”
So, under the Limbaugh theory, a Moore victory means we end up with a staunch conservative and a radical extremist, basically where we are now. We end up with Moore and Franken, who will have a new “justification” for hanging on to his seat.
If Franken ends up leaving anyway, the governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton, is a member of the Democratic-Farm-Labor Party, the more leftist variety of Democrat. He’ll appoint the most radical of replacements for Franken that he can find, essentially another Franken. So a Moore victory leaves things pretty much as they are.
A Moore defeat is a whole other ballgame, putting Doug Jones, a pervert who supports killing babies and mentally ill men showering with little girls and our wives, into what was a safe conservative seat when Jeff Sessions was in a job he seemed to actually be good at.
A Jones victory puts the magic number of Democrats needed to pass legislation at an impossible 9, with Republicans having only a single seat edge.
President Trump understands the importance of the Alabama election. Hopefully the cheap shots at derailing Roy Moore by Democrats will have the opposite effect, and inspire Moore voters to come out to the polls on Tuesday.
Whether Franken resigns or not things will remain as they will be decided on Tuesday. If he stays we can bet he’ll be voting like he is the biggest femiNazi on the planet. But then again, so would his replacement, widely rumored to be a woman, given the circumstances. Democrats see gender category just as they see skin color, as a basis upon which someone is to be judged.
