(CNSNews) On his nationally syndicated radio talk show Monday, host Mark Levin attacked Attorney General Jeff Sessions for “doing a grave injustice to the Constitution and the nation by sitting silently on what are the significant constitutional issues” concerning the Russia investigation and President Donald Trump.

Levin reproached U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions for not affirming the Justice Department’s own memorandum concerning the indictment of a sitting president, Levin asking in recent past, “What authority does he [Special Counsel Robert Mueller] have to even contemplate indicting a president?” Levin further argued that the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel violates the Appointments Clause of the Constitution.

Levin said , if you’re concerned about our constitutional order, or what’s left of it, if you’re concerned about separation of powers, if you’re concerned about the ability of a president of the United States to do his job while in office, then why wouldn’t you raise these concerns? Why don’t the media raise these concerns, the democrats raise these concerns, the Never-Trumpers raise these concerns? Because they don’t worry about it. They’re not concerned about it.

“They’ll find some outlier lawyer or outlier professor who will dismiss all this, and they’ll embrace it because they want to. “It’s not whether I think a sitting president of the United States can be indicted. It’s whether or not the Department of Justice thinks so.

“Now, let me add another point. The Attorney General of the United States Jeff Sessions recused himself as to matters involving the campaign and Russia. But the Attorney General of the United States is doing a grave injustice to the Constitution and the nation by sitting silently on what are the significant constitutional issues. And if they’re decided the wrong way, it will have grave implications for the future of this country.

“There is no reason that Jeff Sessions can’t step in—not to get involved in the investigation per se, but to get involved in the nature of these constitutional questions. And yet he’s silent, absolutely silent. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

I supported Sessions and even defended him thinking that indictments would be coming out. But enough is enough. Its time for him to put up or shut up. He should resign and give the President the opportunity to appoint another AG who will do his job.

  2. I’ll agree with Levin that there is precious little left of the Constitution. What is left can be twisted to suit the agenda of the corrupticians and their globalist masters.

Unless this has been an almost 2 year covert operation by Trump and Sessions, to take out the swamp, then IMO Trump is as complicit in the corruption as anyone. He filled his administration with Globalists, has kept all the Big0’s hold overs, allowed clapper etal to keep their security clearance, endorsed almost all of McConnell’s men, is not firing Sessions, does nothing but tweet about the wall, now wants compassion for illegals, will not declassify the docs Nunes wants, just to name a few.

The Justice branch reports to the Executive and runs at HIS pleasure. I hope it is a covert operation, and if it is, maybe we will see some results after the mid terms.

  3. well.
as the midterms get closer i feel things are going to get worse and Sessions isn’t going to do a damn thing about ANY OF THIS OR OTHER ISSUES.
like Levin says in his post.
