CNS News: Mark Levin blasted the liberal media and defended Fox News on his nationally syndicated radio talk show on Tuesday evening, saying, “We don’t need lectures” from the liberal media on “objectivity when it comes to news.”
“We don’t need lectures from MSNBC and CNN on objectivity when it comes to news,” stated Mark Levin. “Is this a joke? We don’t need lectures from NBC, CBS and ABC on objectivity when it comes to news.”
Mark Levin’s remarks came after Jane Mayer wrote a an article in The New Yorker titled “The Making of the Fox News White House,” The New Yorker’s Mayer fretting over media bias at Fox News. “The thesis is that Fox News and President Trump are very tightly aligned, starting with the fact that Fox News executive Bill Shine went from Fox to running the White House communications operation,” wrote Media Research Center President L. Brent Bozell III and Director of Media Analysis for the Media Research Center Tim Graham in a CNSNews.com commentary. “That’s a fair subject for analysis. What quickly becomes hilarity is the notion that it’s unprecedented. Never before has there been a friendly relationship between news networks and the White House? Never before have media executives gone into politics, or political operatives gone into the media?”
Levin said “The media are playing their role not only in prodding and promoting what the hate-America Democrats are doing but almost as a chorus going after Fox News. If you don’t like Fox News, don’t watch Fox News.
“But that’s not enough. They want to put them out of business. They want to shame them. They want to separate the news division from the opinion division. I don’t mean in terms of reporting and speaking. I mean, they want to turn the house against each other, a divided house. And some are playing the game.
“We don’t need lectures from MSNBC and CNN on objectivity when it comes to news. Is this a joke? We don’t need lectures from NBC, CBS and ABC on objectivity when it comes to news.
“As I said last night, Fox is the most transparent media organization in the country. It doesn’t pretend to be what it is not. It has an opinion side and a news side, and I dare you to tell that distinction, to figure out that distinction over at CNN and MSNBC. I dare you to find that distinction in The New York Times; I dare you to find that distinction at The Washington Post or the big networks – you won’t find it! The editorial page and the news page, exactly the same, exactly the same agenda.
“Who are the commentators and who are the news anchors over at CNN? What’s Jake Tapper? Can you tell me? What’s Chris Cuomo? Go right down the list. You can’t tell. How about Andrea Mitchell, what is she? Is she a reporter, or is she a commentator? That’s the difference.” Levin said
