Freedom Watch founder and former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman was interviewed on Newsmax regarding the House testimony of FBI Director Comey, which Klayman feels was not truthful. Before getting into the Comey testimony, Klayman reminds the audience that they have a whistleblower, Dennis Montgomery, who is willing to testify and has been available for over two years. He’s already been granted immunity and, unbelievably, has over six hundred million pages of information about illegal surveillance on American citizens such as President Trump,” who Klayman states was included in the collection. He says that fact has been buried for two years.
He urges the audience and host to take a look at the clip in which “Comey is asked by Congressman Trey Gowdy, ‘Did you discuss intercepts of Gen Michael Flynn with the President of the United States?’ And his eyes go in every different direction, he’s very uncomfortable, he won’t answer the question, he says ‘I can’t discuss it,’ yet he’s willing to discuss a criminal investigation with regard to collaboration with Russia, allegedly by the Trump campaign.”
Klayman says, “There is likely a cover up under way and the reason for that is that Comey himself is involved. He was probably the one who gave the information to Obama which then resulted in smearing General Michael Flynn, which damaged him, which cost him his job and all of the other collateral damage that’s occurred to other people. So Comey’s not being honest and he’s, I believe, engaged in a cover up here.”
Comey is part of a cover up, Klayman believes, “Because it was his communication with Obama that gave rise to Obama loyalists inside of government,” John Brennan at CIA and James Clapper, the DNI. Their actions in some manner led to the leaks which are felonies, Klayman believes. He comments on Comey’s demeanor, that’s very important for a trial lawyer, “This guy’s guilty of something and it’s quite clear to me that he was hiding something and he wasn’t being candid with Gowdy.”
Klayman says Comey needs to be fired and should have already been gone, pointing out the difficulty in appearances President Trump faces if he does so now, that it would look like retaliation. He indicates the information contained in the documents held by his whistleblower could provide the hard evidence that would make the firing much more politically acceptable. Klayman used to trust Comey and thought he was an honest man, saying, “I’m not so sure anymore. I don’t think he is being honest, he’s not being forthright.”
