There’s little debate over whether or not Kim Jong Un is a ruthless and brutal tyrant, but it does seem he’s one with a some normal aspects to his personality. We’re learning that when he met with the South Korean contingent for dinner, there was a lot of alcohol flowing and he actually joked about himself.   [[VIDEO BELOW]]

Taken in addition to the surprising messaging of the N. Korean Olympic delegation, which included his sister and the “geisha cheerleaders,” we perhaps are seeing a different Kim than the squatty little dictator we’ve believed he was.

Kim received two years of his education at Liebefeld-Steinhölzli Schule, a Swiss state school. He received failing grades in science, but was more adept in music and math. His dictator dad gave him an external perspective as part of his grooming process. He interacted with other foreign kids, the children of diplomats, which was also a valuable learning experience. Some of those foundational skills may now be coming into play.

Trace Gallagher describes it in the video, saying, “It just seems there has been a drastic change in this man in just a very short time.” The response of “Yeah, or maybe there’s been no change and this is the way he is and we’re finally actually seeing it.” How would we know, it’s not like he was granting interviews to US media and if he were, if were anyone other than Fox News it wouldn’t tell us much.

He says there are two ways  to look at it, the glass half full view that nothing else has worked, why not try talking and the half empty view that this is a stall tactic and that we’re being played. There’s no winning for Kim if it is the latter.

The US and UN sanctions are making things very difficult for him and his nation and are what drove the sudden interest in a dialogue. They’re preventing Kim from being able to conduct his tyrannical affairs in the manner he’s been doing over the past since he took over from his dad in 2011.

Gordon Chang points out, “Kim doesn’t have the resources to launch missiles, detonate nukes, or engage in gift politics, in other words, giving out gifts in order to buy support among the regime. That means Kim Jong Un has a limited shelf life and that’s very important because that means he has no choice but to disarm.

Gallagher points out that even from the half-empty perspective this is historic, saying, “We’ve never seen anything like this before.” Of course the mainstream propagandists are adopting their usual cynical posture, wringing their hands and expecting the worst or at least creating that narrative. It’s entertaining to watch libtards melt, for a while, anyway.

  1. I would hope that we have defenses against nuclear attacks and also have capabilities to retaliate. I never actually believed that Kim would try to attack us since he may be attention hungry I don’t think he is suicidal.

With the sanctions he probably wants a deal, not only to remove them but to most likely get a nice foreign aid package.

  2. the one thing this Kim kid had better understand, he will be dealing with a MASTER NEGOTIATOR IN TRUMP.
NOT some political HACK from the state dept.
