White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired back at Luis “the Roach” Gutierrez for comments he made last week, describing the General as a disgrace to his uniform for failing to manipulate law to extend DACA when he is not a lawmaker.
Obama wasn’t a lawmaker either but he was a dictator, and as such he was able to implement unconstitutional policies by decree. Gutierrez responded to Kelly’s refusal to take part in a repeat of such an abuse of power with a name-calling tirade, calling Kelly, a Gold Star father, a liar and a disgrace to his uniform.
When candidate Trump questioned why Khizr Khan’s wife Ghazala didn’t speak as she stood meekly behind her domineering husband he was rebuked brutally by the propaganda media for weeks. In this instance, a Gold Star parent is attacked and, probably because Kelly is a white man and the offender is a despicable Democrat, and brown, nothing is said.
General Kelly responded on Sunday night to the statement, saying, “As far as the congressman and other irresponsible members of congress are concerned, they have the luxury of saying what they want as they do nothing and have almost no responsibility. They can call people liars but it would be inappropriate for me to say the same thing back at them. As my blessed mother used to say ‘empty barrels make the most noise.’” He added, “The congressman has a right to his opinion.”
Kelly had advised president Trump in favor of the six month wind down period, as being preferable to the immediate halt that would likely be the result of the continuing of the lawsuit brought by nine state Attorneys General.
Gutierrez doesn’t represent Americans from his seat in the House, he represents and advocates on behalf of illegal alien foreigners – exclusively. Gutierrez’s Tuesday statement said Kelly “has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House along with the white supremacists and those enabling the President’s actions by ‘just following orders.’”
Kelly said, “Every DOJ and DHS lawyer says DACA is unconstitutional. Every other legal scholar – right and left – says the same thing. Trump didn’t end DACA, the law did. That said, I worked and succeeded to give the congress another six months to do something. I am not confident.”
General Kelly noted, “During my time at DHS – from 20 Jan until this moment – I have met with hundreds of members on both sides of the hill … My [message] always was ‘I have bought you time to do something on DACA.’ I begged and pleaded with them. They did exactly nothing.”
Gutierrez spokesman Douglas Rivlin ‘splained it like this, “[S]o far we have seen no courage to fight for DREAMers from the President or his Chief of Staff. There is a clear majority in the House today to support measures to defend DACA recipients, but Republicans need to choose whether they want to let that happen or not. So far, the answer is not.” Those claims are false, there is no clear majority in the House in support of DACA and to the degree that there is it’s a simple matter of a personnel change next year.
He added, “Ending DACA amounts to surrender without a fight for the President and his Chief of Staff.” No, Gutierrez, it amounts to keeping a campaign promise, one that was a long time in coming.
Rivlin said, “The constitutionality of DACA has never been challenged successfully in court and the Department of Homeland Security, which administers the program, certainly never questioned its constitutionality at its inception or while hundreds of thousands signed up for it.”
Of course they didn’t question it, Jihadi Jeh Johnson, the Obama DHS Secretary, was as big of an open borders globalist as Hussein Obama. They conspired to implement the illegal program. Why would they question any aspect of it beyond whether or not they can get away with it?
