JW Sues “Deep State Dept” For Docs On Their Collusion With Soros, Diverting Aid

We might wonder why, if there is a President in the White House who is favorable to open government and honesty with the American people, the US State Department continues to be obstructionists in the release of information. This is not the first time we’ve asked this question since Secretary of State Tillerson has been leading the department under President Trump. It’s another indication that there have not been enough of the wrong people eliminated from State Department employee rosters or that Tillerson may see value in continuing the opaque, often dubious, policies of his predecessors. Protecting and covering up for the most notorious anti-freedom globalist on the planet and the Obama regime’s corruption is not consistent with the agenda upon which we elected President Trump.

Judicial Watch announced on Wednesday it had, on May 26th, filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the US State Department and the siphon hose for financial mischief, the US Agency for International Development. The lawsuit seeks records related to their funding of political activities in concert with George Soros, through his Soros Open Society Foundation – Albania. It was filed after both entities failed to respond to a  March 31st, 2017 FOIA request seeking:

All records relating to any contracts, grants or other allocations/disbursements of funds by the State Department (USAID) to the Foundation Open Society-Albania (FOSA) and/or its personnel and/or any FOSA subsidiaries.

All records of communication between any officials, employees or representatives of the State Department (USAID), including but not limited to U.S. Ambassador Donald Lu, and any officials, employees or representatives of Foundation Open Society-Albania, its subsidiaries and/or affiliated organizations.

All assessments, evaluations, reports or similar records relating to the work of Foundation Open Society-Albania and/or its subsidiaries or affiliated organizations.

All records of communications transmitted via the State Department’s SMART system sent to or from any employee of the U.S. Government operating under the authority of the Chief of Mission in Tirana that pertain to Foundation Open Society-Albania, its subsidiaries and/or affiliated organizations.

Senators Asked Tillerson About State and USAID Money Going to Soros Destabilization Groups In Europe

Judicial Watch noted that in a March 14, 2017, letter to Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson, six U.S. Senators, Lee (R-UT), Inhofe (R-OK), Tillis (R-NC), Cruz (R-TX), Perdue (R-GA) and Cassidy (R-LA), requested that the Secretary investigate the relations between USAID and the Soros Foundations. They also asked him to look into the manner in which US tax dollars are being used by the State Department and the USAID to support leftist political groups who seek to impose left-leaning policies in countries, particularly in Macedonia and Albania.

The Senators complained, “This problem is not limited to Macedonia, but appears to follow a pattern of alarming activity in this volatile region.  Respected leaders from Albania have made similar claims of US diplomats and Soros-backed organizations pushing for certain political outcomes in their country.  Foundation Open Society-Albania (FOSA) and its experts, with funding from USAID, have created the controversial Strategy Document for Albanian Judicial Reform. Some leaders believe that these “reforms” are ultimately aimed to give the Prime Minister and left-of-center government full control over judiciary power.

That follows a model similar to the one Obama, Soros and the leftist Democrats have used to erode our judicial system into a political weapon of the left here at home, evidenced by the recent absurd district courts overruling of Trump executive orders.

Judicial Watch reports that, “In May 2016, USAID announced that it was providing $9 million for it “Justice for All” project in Albania ‘to improve the performance of Albanian courts by introducing comprehensive judicial standards for efficiency, transparency, accessibility, and accountability.’ According to the announcement, the project ‘will be implemented by USAID Contractor East-West Management Institute’ (EWMI). According to EWMI’s 2011 financial report, it has received funding from the Soros Economic Development Fund: “loans … of up to $1,000,000.”

Fitton – 2nd FOIA Suit over Obama sending tax dollars to Fund Soros in Europe

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton noted, “This is our second FOIA lawsuit to uncover the truth about the scandal of Obama administration’s siphoning tax dollars to the Soros operations in Europe. We hope and expect the Trump administration to finally let the sunlight in on this growing controversy.”

In February, Judicial Watch reported on the activities of the leftists compromising the US government, saying, “The U.S. government has quietly spent millions of taxpayer dollars to destabilize the democratically elected, center-right government in Macedonia by colluding with left wing billionaire philanthropist George Soros, records obtained by Judicial Watch show. Barack Obama’s U.S. Ambassador to Macedonia, Jess L. Baily, has worked behind the scenes with Soros’ Open Society Foundation to funnel large sums of American dollars for the cause, constituting an interference of the U.S. Ambassador in domestic political affairs in violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

Honestly, the advisors around Trump are all establishment. I’d chuck everyone but Sessions and Bannon, oh maybe Kellyanne and a few others are okay, but once he lost Flynn, he was surrounded even more by progressives. He needs to sit down with Don Jr. and rethink this whole thing and then dump the entire bunch who were put in by previous administrations. If he doesn’t do that, he’ll never get the snakes out of the swamp, much less the gators.

  2. Great work, Rick. JW could become the blade that splits-open the entire circle of corruption from the prior administration. In my mind, the big question is whether or not Tillerson is right for the SOS job. I trust him about as much as I trust the current VP. I don’t expect Pence to perform his assignment to uncover voting fraud. And I don’t expect Tillerson to drain the State Dept swamp. Neither of these guys wholeheartedly agree with Trump on some of the things he expects of them. And, neither of them are intellectual giants. Both sound good in their public speeches. Just like Obama. Many people blindly follow them. Such B/S.

Well either trump is not getting the proper info on what the so called state dept and other gov agencies are doing or he will not take the proper actions and remove some of these people that are his advisors and or in his administration……The only reason I can see is he will not admit he made a mistake by the appointment of the rinos, good old boys, traitors of the rep party and people like that is his ego? Better give sessons a kick in the ass and get a new fbi head installed, so whoever it is can get on with the total cleaning of the fbi.

    • The Justice Dept has an annual budget of over $30 billion. A lot of divisions and departments with a humongous number of lawyers. Most of them are very busy doing stuff that we the people have very little knowledge of. Every action they take has to be bullet-proof. They cannot afford to act and then be shot down by some liberal judge. This means all T’s must be crossed and all I’s must be dotted. That takes time to prepare thoroughly before executing. We need to be patient.

Rick, what do you think Tillerson will do? I have my doubts.

    • I’m full of doubt about the state department – remember the shredding party that they engaged in in the basement during the time documents were being “requested,” where’s that investigation, who were those people, all he’d have to do is ask, I’d have had a meeting on day one to encourage whistleblowers – it’s like they are all a bunch of sergeant schultz’s – I expect nothing, nothing.
