Judicial Watch is suing the State Dept for info that should have been turned over under a FOIA about USAid Money funneled to George Soros by Obama. They’re covering up the…
Judicial Watch has once again been forced to file a lawsuit in order to obtain records that some in the deep state State Department are clearly trying to keep hidden. This time the shady and possibly criminal activities involve the Obama regime funneling millions of taxpayer dollars to various George Soros Open Society Foundation organizations engaged in anti-American globalist activities overseas. There’s no doubt that Americans are having their tax dollars misappropriated to fund Soros radicals. It’s simply a question of to what degree and who is responsible.
Judicial Watch explained that their FOIA requests to the State Department and US Agency for International Development (USAID), filed last fall, have been completely ignored. They are seeking records related to contracts, grants and other “allocations/disbursements of funds” by Open Society Foundation offices in Romania, Colombia, Macedonia and Albania.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said on Wednesday, “It is time for Americans to be allowed to see State Department documentation regarding the public funding of Soros’ Open Society Foundations. The billionaire George Soros needs zero assistance from U.S. taxpayers to promote his far-left agenda abroad.”
Globalist Rex Tillerson was resistant to exposing the truth about the financial dealings and had surrounded himself with Clinton loyalists. Incoming Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is expected to much more closely echo President Trump’s philosophy and agenda. Newly named National Security Advisor John Bolton is likewise seen as one who will be hostile to the globalist influence and corruption that runs counter to what is best for our nation and the world.
The Daily Caller reports that six Senators, including Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) sought information last year as to how the State Department and USAID were feeding millions of taxpayer dollars to Soros and other leftist radical organizations “to push a progressive agenda and invigorate the political left” in countries such as Albania, Macedonia, Romania, and Colombia.
They wrote a letter to Tillerson in March of 2017 expressing their concerns over several Soros projects that American taxpayers were being robbed to pay for, including one in Colombia in which USAID funds a Soros media operation critical of President Trump, capitalism and the “patriarchal society.” They received no substantive response.
They wrote, “We find these reports discouraging, and, if true, highly problematic. Our foreign aid should only be used to promote a political agenda if it is in the security or economic interests of our country to do so, and even at that, we must be cautious and respectful in such an endeavor. We should be especially wary of promoting policies that remain controversial in our own country and have the potential to harm our relationship with the citizens of recipient countries.”
Judicial Watch and Fitton applied less candy coating to their assessment of the problem and need for correction, reporting last year that the US government under Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry “has quietly spent millions of taxpayer dollars to destabilize the elected, center-right government of Macedonia” and that Obama’s ambassador to Macedonia “worked behind the scenes with Soros to funnel large sums of American dollars for the cause.”
The Senators noted that the problem is not restricted solely to Macedonia, recognizing “a pattern of alarming activity in the volatile region.” They noted that America has become a sponsor of anti-American globalist radicals in Albania, with political leaders in that nation alleging political interference by “U.S. diplomats and Soros-backed organizations pushing for certain political outcomes in their country.”
The Senators wrote, “Time and time again, foreign leaders visiting Washington have expressed concerns to us about how taxpayer funds are being used counterproductively in their respective countries. The situations in Albania and Macedonia are timely examples of this, but we have heard similar concerns from Latin American and African nations as well.”
Judicial Watch says Soros’s groups in Colombia have received millions of dollars from USAID as they work to undermine stability and anti-cartel efforts in the nation that is the source of 90% of the cocaine in the United States.
Just as in the open border on our south, Democrats, Soros and drug cartels are united in opposition to our efforts to clean things up. It’s not a coincidence, it’s a business model.
