Judge Jeanine Pirro sat down with Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC) for a discussion of the state of the government 29 days into the Trump administration. They start off with a review of his press conference, which she described as interesting. Gowdy picks it up, noting that President Trump “is a different kind of leader, he’s never been in the House, he’s never been in the Senate. If he doesn’t like the question he’s going to be pretty forceful in how he describes his displeasure. It’s fascinating for those of us who have been brought up it interact with the media a certain way to watch the leader of the free world interact with the media in a very different way.”
Gowdy says, “I think most folks in the real world, out in the country, appreciate someone who stands up for himself as much as this president does.” Judge Jeanine asks what President Trump needs to do in order to make sure that the new executive order on immigration doesn’t fall victim to the same kind of nonsense as what was just unleashed by the wacked out 9th Circuit liberals.
Gowdy recommends an evidentiary basis as it relates to each category of immigrant or non-immigrant. He explains why wanting to go to Disney World is not enough of a justification for a Yemeni to be approved but offers examples of why one might, a methodology he believes would protect the order from a repeat of the Washington case temporary stay.
Gowdy notes that the powers of the executive are not limitless but they are quite broad, particularly in matters of national security. The judiciary, he contends, “are among the worst situated people to overlook battle plans or describe whether or not this is the right target in Yemen or this is the right target in Yemen. That’s not their job, they’re not qualified to do it.
He points to the quality in President Trump’s nominee of Judge Gorsuch of being a minimalist, of one with humility, the opposite of what characterizes the 9th Circuit.
Thank you for reading and sharing my work – Facebook is trying to starve us out of existence, having cut literally 98% of our traffic over the last year. Your shares are crucial for our survival, and we thank you. We’ve also created a presence on Gab.ai and MeWe.com, although their reach is presently much smaller, the continued abuse by Facebook of conservative voices leaves us no option. We’re remaining on Facebook for the time being, as we make the transition. Please take a look when you have a chance or if we “suddenly disappear” from Facebook as has happened to many other truth-tellers. They’ll either starve us out or take us down, one way or another, sooner or later.
