HOUSE SAYS “NO” TO RYAN’S AMNESTY SELLOUT – MAYBE NEXT WEEK

Paul Ryan almost got away with another betrayal but for now the discharge petition to force a Democrat bill on amnesty has been defeated. Being a known traitor…

paul ryan traitor amnesty

The heat on sellouts in the GOP under traitor Paul Ryan may have been too hot, in the end, for them to handle, with the appropriately titled “discharge petition” to finagle amnesty for illegal aliens while ignoring border security and the wall we voted for. Ryan’s supporters, the Chamber of Commerce, the Business Roundtable, Koch Brothers and others who bribe crooked politicians, came up just short.

Instead of the four deal, discharge petition which essentially surrendered control of the House to the Democrats and with it a sure approval of amnesty legislation, Ryan has now agreed to two bills.

One bill is the Goodlatte Bill that Ryan’s been breaking promises on allowing to come to the floor for a very long time and the other is one that is still being crafted, a last minute forced alternative to the amnesty only bill that blatantly defies the wishes of the people. The details will be debated in a closed-door Wednesday morning meeting.

In attempting to put a good face on the betrayal of Ryan falling short of its full success under the contrived cover of “bipartisanship” and “may the best bill win,” Ryan’s spokeswoman, Ashlee Strong, said, “Members across the Republican Conference have negotiated directly and in good faith with each other for several weeks, and as a result, the House will consider two bills next week that will avert the discharge petition and resolve the border security and immigration issues.”

Had the discharge petition gotten 218 signatures by the end of the day Tuesday, it would have forced the unseemly cave to the Democrats that Ryan was just barely hiding his support of.  It finished with 216 signatures, and those are names that should not be allowed to simply be forgotten. Traitors deserve to lose their seats.

But all of this is likely little more than legislative theater. After all, whatever comes out of the House goes to the Senate, where nothing of any consequence ever happens. And we do have the White House that is generally supportive of border security, though President Trump does have a knack for unsettling rhetoric when it comes to DACA.

  1. Yes I think this is nothing more than political theater. a good cop, bad cop ploy that ends in, “we did the best we could and had to pass something”. The devil will be in the details, and POTUS will sign it, tell us how it had to be done and spin amnesty into “BUT we get the wall, eventually”.

I hope I have to apologize but somehow I think we will be making America 3rd world again.
