GOWDY Does 180 on Special Counsel, But LET CLINTON GET AWAY With It – AGAIN

Gowdy has been a vocal supporter of Mueller and all of DOJ, including the obviously corrupt leadership. He’s flipped, now supporting a 2nd special counsel but no Clinton trial…

There are many conservatives who feel that Trey Gowdy (R-SC) is above reproach, a sincere, principled and honest public official. Others are not so sure. If one were to entertain the perspective of that second group, his recent actions could be explained by drawing to a degree on the similarities to the Benghazi hearings that resulted in nothing.   [[VIDEO BELOW]]

In an interview with Bill Hemmer, Gowdy acknowledges that he’s done a 180 degree turn on whether or not a special prosecutor is needed to investigate wrongdoing at DOJ.

Aside from him suddenly having an “ah ha” moment and waking up to the reality that his colleagues in the House have seen for months, and given his repeated unwavering endorsements of Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein and the rest of perpetrators of the witch hunt, could there be another explanation?

Could he been positioning himself, now that the appointment of a special counsel seems more likely, to be involved in determining who that individual is?

If so, is he doing so in order to cripple that investigation, working with his fellow establishment legislators to rig the outcome while claiming to be doing the exact opposite? A case could be made that that is what happened with the Clinton Benghazi committee.

Gowdy says he’s looking for a neutral arbiter and explains why the FBI can’t investigate itself. All of those facts have existed since last summer, when members of the House Freedom Caucus first started asking that one be appointed. Why the complete reversal?

Limiting the scope of the problem to “these two particular agents,” and apparently oblivious to the actions of McCabe, Ohr, Comey and others, Gowdy goes on the typical, “It’s not my fault, I’m blinded by my loyalty to law enforcement agencies” pitch.  He says, “I don’t know why the bureau would use opposition research in a court filing and they didn’t bother to vet it or investigate it.”

It’s because those individuals, and their superiors within DOJ and the FBI are crooks, Congressman. We would expect a former prosecutor would understand that those people do exist, everywhere.

Gowdy goes on to say, before Hemmer can even finish the question, that he does not want to reopen “the Clinton email matter.” He says, “Whether or not I agree with that charging decision, it’s been made. And practically, you can never go in front of a jury when the nation’s top law enforcement officer, Jim Comey, would be defense witness number one.”

That’s ludicrous, and a very suspicious statement to be made. There would only have to be a demonstration that Comey was motivated by political factors and abused his office in a conspiracy against the President for that argument to go completely by the wayside.

If it can be demonstrated that both Clinton and Comey were parties to a criminal conspiracy that influenced that decision and if we were able to eliminate the obstructionism that is rampant now epidemic within the DOJ deep state, it could very easily happen. And there are other cases, the Clinton Foundation and espionage crimes as well as racketeering that Comey never addressed. What’s his position on prosecuting those crimes?

It’s possible that Gowdy, who endorsed establishment candidate Marco Rubio for President, is just overly deferential to law enforcement. But if one were looking to position himself in such a way as to be able to “meddle” in the process, and obstruct the push to hold the Democrat criminals accountable, they’d be doing and saying the very things he is. We’ve seen this before with the Benghazi hearings, and Clinton, Obama, Rice, Rhodes and the rest of the crooks skated on that one.

Fool us once, shame on you, fool us twice…

  1. I USED to have the utmost respect for Trey Gowdy. No more! I’m thinking he’s leaving the Washington scene at the end of his term because of all this crap coming out. How he’s involved, I have no idea. But from his actions and statements, I’m SURE he is! ANOTHER damn RINO rat!

  2. Why is he letting Clinton off of the hook. She is the guiltiest of all of them, and one of the ring leaders. If you condone murder, treason, lying to the FBI and the public, thievery, and coming up with some real nasty tricks and stories about the President, then you need to reconsider. She needs to be sent to Gitmo with the rest of her ugly, nasty crew.

    Judas Gowdy……….

  4. Spot on Rick!

I think you nailed it, he will be looking to scuttle the investigation. There will be a large number of voters cheering him on and saying finally we have bull dog who will prosecute all the criminals. Those are the ones who continue to send deceitful pigs back to DC.

  5. yep i agree Kelleigh.
it’s not called the UNIPARTY for nothing.
and when i watched those so called Benghazi hearings it was PLAIN AS A DRIVING SNOWSTORM.
what we really need is A FULL CLEANING OUT of both houses of Congress and the FBI, DOJ, AND other AGENCIES.

This guy needs to go down in flames, he’s an establishment elitist globalist just like the rest of the phony right wing Republicans who find themselves more comfortable with Democrats than with Constitutional conservatives. I’m sick of this phony jerk, and wish he’d go away never to show his face again, same with Senator Flake and countless others, including McCain.

    • Yeah, Kelleigh, he’s trying real hard to ingratiate himself to the American people and become the face of the special counsel “movement,” there’s something that doesn’t smell right with all of it.
