Rep Louie Gohmert isn’t buying the story about five months of text messages not being configured properly and “disappearing” from FBI and DOJ records. Criminal obstruction is
Rep Louie Gohmert describes, to the degree that he can, given the classified status of the Devin Nunes memo, the content. He says there’s both the confirmation of things previously believed and what “a handful of us knew,” as well as some new information.
He notes that it is not speculation, it is a summary of actual evidence in the Intelligence Committee chairman’s physical possession. Gohmert says he believes that “the evidence should be coming out at the same time that the memo does.”
Gohmert says, “David, if you want to know just how bad this is for the Justice Department, then all you need to know is that now they’re saying, ‘we’ve lost five months of text messages’ from DOJ, from Mueller’s team. Look, this stinks to high heaven. As I’ve been saying since June, we need a second special counsel appointed because they need to be investigating Mueller and his team. This is incredible.”
David Asman points out that in the Russia, Russia, Russia witch hunt there was no crime at the beginning and still none has been determined to have been committed, and yet there is a special counsel in place anyway and has been for months.
He points out, “if these memos that are missing, four to five months worth of texts, and we already know that Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were anti-Trumpers who were trying to keep Trump out of the White House no matter what happened during the election, if they’re hiding memos, other memos, more damning memos, that’s obstruction of justice. That is a crime.”
Gohmert replies, “You nailed it, David, and that’s why we have got to have a special counsel that is a true special counsel, not Mueller, because Mueller cannot investigate his own team for obstruction of justice and I believe that’s what is at the bottom of this ‘loss’ of text messages.”
He continues, “But I know these same people that wanted Hillary to be President, who felt like, well gee, Hillary got away with destroying all of her messages and not getting prosecuted. Yeah, because they were the prosecutors. It isn’t going to go so well with a new sheriff in town.” Gohmert still has confidence in Sessions, saying “He is not going to let these people get away with obstructing justice when they should have been investigating other obstructing.
Gohmert says it’s pretty obvious that the FBI was used to obstruct justice and the exercise of the right to vote in free elections by millions of Americans. He’s highly suspicious of the convenient disappearance of the text messages from the talkative traitors, Strzok and Page.
He says “If America is ever going to have any faith or confidence in our justice system again, we have to have a second counsel that goes after these obstructionists within the investigators.”
As Asman reiterates that we Americans need to see this memo, Gohmert interrupts, saying, “Going back to my judge hat, I would put these lawyers in jail. And I found as a judge, you put one lawyer in jail, the rest of them work out pretty well. They become very cooperative.”
There’s also the possibility that the source of the original text message revelations, the DOJ Inspector General, might have been able to obtain copies of them as part of his investigation before they were purged. That would be rock-solid evidence of obstruction and may well exist.
When the web of corruption is as big as it is, nobody, not even the Obama-Clinton-Soros Mafia, can plug all of the holes and obscure the truth forever.
