Now the messaging being pushed by the White House and establishment politicians of both stripes is not only that the Russians interfered in our elections but that they did so with the specific objective of electing Donald Trump. Of course that is the same thing as defeating Hillary Clinton, so a lot depends on how you word the determination.
According to an unnamed US Senior official briefed on the intelligence presentation made to US Senators, “It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia’s goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected. That’s the consensus view.”
The Obama regime’s unbridled hypocrisy allows those statements to be made without reference to the situation with Obama deploying operatives at US taxpayer expense to defeat Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel in 2015. The current instance was not as blatant, not as criminal, not as egregious, and had the benefit of providing stabilizing leadership.
The Trump victory brings reason and responsibility to the table over the Clinton globalists’ blind greed and power accumulation at any cost. Being residents of this same planet, the Russians, if they were involved, did the world and themselves a favor and may well have been motivated by their own survival instincts.
But what was the nature of the supposed cyber activity on behalf of Vladimir Putin? According to the Washington Post, “Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, according to U.S. officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and hurt Clinton’s chances.”
It doesn’t actually state that Russia hacked the emails, or that they transferred them to WikiLeaks. It simply identifies individuals with connections to the Russian government. To hear Democrats tell the story, Trump and Putin rip their shirts off and go grizzly-riding together. He’s not only our President-elect, but moonlighting part-time for the Kremlin. Clinton alleged a connection as soon as the emails started surfacing to distract from the content. If you have a common interest, common enemy or are breathing the same air, that’s a connection, from their perspective.
They would have us believe that Trump has one of those “three-for” situations going. With his real estate empire, President of the United States, and Russian agent all ongoing simultaneously, he’s a busy guy. That’s like what Huma Abedin had with the Clinton State Department, the Clinton Foundation and Teneo or what Hussein Obama has with the White House, George Soros and the Muslim Brotherhood. The first example isn’t true, we can only wish the same for the second two.
The US intelligence agencies acknowledge they do not have specific intelligence showing Kremlin officials directing the identified individuals to pass the Democratic emails to WikiLeaks. An unnamed official said those responsible were not Russian government employees but “one step” removed from the government, to establish plausible deniability. The US officials are capable of recognizing when they observe such an insulating relationship involving a foreign computer hack but not when they, themselves, are actually intimately involved in funding, arming and training terrorists working side by side with al-Qaeda and ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
In the September briefing, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) voiced doubts about the veracity of the intelligence. The Trump transition team was more clear spoken in their response to the claims on Friday evening. They said, “These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and ‘Make America Great Again.’”
Contrary to the lies spun by Clinton and Elijah Cummings, the CIA presentation was not a formal assessment produced by all 17 US intelligence agencies. It’s also noteworthy that nowhere are there any claims that the WikiLeaks documents were in any way false or fabricated in order to influence the election.
What is alleged is that the death grip that the establishment had on restricting the American people’s access to information was circumvented by the hacks to WikiLeaks. They assert that Americans being informed of the truth about the criminal Hillary Clinton was a bad thing. Most Americans would disagree. Many consider Julian Assange to be a hero. Perhaps Putin did the world a favor as well.
For Democrat Marxists “the end justifies the means,” so they, of all people, should be willing and able to accept the results.
