California Democrat Barbara Lee complained when Speaker Ryan stripped out her amendment repealing the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force from a House appropriations bill back in mid July. She whined by way of Twitter, “Ryan stripped my 01 AUMF repeal amdt from DOD Approps in the dead of night. This is underhanded & undemocratic. The people deserve a debate!”
She added, “Ryan should be ashamed of himself for forcing Republicans to strip out my bipartisan AUMF amdt in the dead of night. What is he afraid of?” Maybe it’s not so much his own fear as it is a healthy awareness of commie legislators abusing their authority and attacking our country. The kind of person who is a traitor, who would label an American patriot as a terrorist and deliberate harm our nation simply to advance her agenda.
As Ryan said, “There’s a right way to deal with this, and an appropriations bill I don’t think is the right way to deal with this.” Lee was also the only member out of 435 in the House to vote against the original AUMF in 2001. She’s clearly not a big fan of the military.
She made that even more apparent today when, upon learning of the selection of General John Kelly as the new White House Chief of Staff, Lee voiced her alarmist concerns, stating, Secretary Kelly’s appointment was evidence the President is “militarizing the White House.”
That’s right Lee, and he’s plastered strategically positioned bullseye urinal screens and wanted posters and all over the White House halls with your picture on them. It’s laughable that the Democrat member of the Marxist Congressional Progressive Caucus and racist Black Caucus would have the nerve to label anyone else, let alone a distinguished general, an extremist. The extremists reside in her own party and are those they align themselves with. Rep Lee tweeted:
By putting Gen John Kelly in charge, Pres Trump is militarizing the White House & putting our executive branch in the hands of an extremist.

We might like to see her forced to choose between a terrorist and General Kelly as a travel companion on some dark night. It might prove to illustrate who she truly sees as more extreme outside the scope of absurd, theatrical claims.
“The Daily Caller noted “Kelly was the recipient of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit, among many others, during his more than 40 years of service in the Marine Corps, where he rose to the rank of four-star general.
His last job in the Marines was as Commander of United States Southern Command, a position he was appointed to by former President Barack Obama. He was confirmed as Secretary of Homeland Security by the Senate by a vote of 88 to 11 on Trump’s first day in office.”
He’s an extremist alright, Lee – an extremely pro-American patriot. This is the kind of no-nonsense militarizing that we could have used beginning on January 20th.
