Gingrich recognizes that a purge of the corruption at DOJ needs to happen and thinks Sessions is capable of handling it. He can’t even deal with Rosenstein, McCabe, Wray or
Maria Bartiromo points out that Republicans on key congressional committees have uncovered FBI documents which state, “‘The sheer volume of classified information that flowed through Clinton’s insecure emails’ was proof of criminality.”
Newt Gingrich points out how all of the criminal evidence is pointing to just how corrupt the Obama DOJ and Clinton State Department were and how corrupt the Clinton Foundation still is. He says, “These things are all coming together and I think they’re going to keep coming out and I think it’s going to get worse as people realize how hard some people worked to avoid the truth and to avoid doing their job.”
Bartiromo asks the question of frustrated Americans everywhere, “But what is going to come out and what will happen as a result of this? I mean, I am astounded to read some of this stuff. First you have all of these FBI agents, from Bruce Ohr, his wife worked at Fusion GPS, they created the dossier. You’ve got Peter Strzok and his lover, Lisa Page, saying they wanted an insurance policy just in case Trump won.”
“And then on the other side of it,” she says, “we know that there is evidence right now of actual criminality and those people were given immunity.” She mentions an email employee having an “ah ha” moment and remembering deleting thousands of Clinton emails after previously lying to the FBI and stating he had not. His memory was freshened up by the awarding of immunity by the crooked DOJ. [[VIDEO BELOW]]
Gingrich says he thinks things are happening, that Congress is doing its job and the news media is starting to pay attention. Of course they’re doing their job by covering it up and one hesitates to believe Gingrich is so naive not to understand that most basic reality of today’s political environment.
He misidentifies John Solomon of The Hill as John Sutherland, as he acknowledges his work at exposing the corruption. Gingrich says there are two things he takes out of this as a historian, one being how close we came to disaster if Hillary Clinton had won. All of this would have been swept under the rug and the corrupt system would have continued.
The second thing is a recognition of the importance of the rule of law in the American system, which despite his rosy outlook isn’t faring so well right now and is being obstructed by his friend Jeff Sessions from the Attorney General’s office as well as his subordinates at DOJ and the FBI.
Noting the obvious unfairness in the way General Flynn was treated versus the real criminals of the Obama regime Gingrich declares ours to be a rigged, corrupt system. Simply stating that reality doesn’t fix it and unless there are some major upheavals it won’t be fixed.
Gingrich sees one option as Sessions making wholesale firings, which he shows no inclination to do even on a limited individual basis, or a direct confrontation with Congress. DOJ is currently thumbing their nose at Congress, defying requests for documents related to suspicions of DOJ corruption.
They’re nice ideas, Gingrich. They’re not being put into action and that is the problem and frustrations your host is attempting to convey in her questioning. She’s still without an answer.
