GAETZ FED UP WITH RODENTSTEIN PLAYING DUMB ASKS – “IS THE IG INVESTIGATING YOU?”

Rosenstein dodged his questions for more than five minutes, refusing in House testimony to provide the evidence subpoenas have been unable to force, Gaetz finally…

matt gaetz rod rosenstein

As Rod Rosenstein continued to lie about his own malfeasance in office and those of his subordinates in Congressional hearings, Rep Matt Gaetz took a turn at attempting to force the truth out of the crooked anti-American official and coup participant.

Gaetz began by asking Rodentstein if any spying or other “investigating” of the Trump campaign began before the date that has already been admitted to by the DOJ, July 31st, 2016. Rosenstein claimed to not know anything beyond an FBI briefing that has already taken place with Intel Chairman Nunes. Gaetz pressed on, asking if he’s “aware of any payments that were made to any person to collect intelligence on the Trump campaign prior to July 31st, 2016.”   [[WATCH VIDEO BELOW]]

Rosenstein plays dumb, responding that he doesn’t because he wasn’t there at the time. His apparent inference is that he’s been too busy doing other things to look into that type of “old news” in the days since despite the overwhelming interest by Congress and the American people.

After he plays dumb about Roger Stone and Michael Caputo as well, Gaetz asks, “But you’re there now, right? Have you asked these questions of anyone?” Rosenstein replies in his characteristic word-parsing, “We have absolutely conveyed all of the questions that chairman Nunes has raised, and I’m optimistic we’ll be able to respond fairly soon.”

Having had months of demonstrations by Rosenstein and the rest of the DOJ crooks as to their dishonesty, their definitions of a response and how his idea of fairly soon is nothing of the sort, Gaetz continues to word his questions as he would when questioning any common criminal or conspirator.

He asked, “You could understand why it would be of tremendous importance to the country that if the Department of Justice has represented to a court that this investigation began on July 31st and the fact that you cannot tell me definitively that before July 31st there was not intelligence collected on the Trump campaign, that that is something of great interest to us.”

Gaetz moves on to another question that Rosenstein refused to answer in the previous hearings they had, that of when Nellie Ohr, the wife of associate deputy General Bruce Ohr, was working for Fusion GPS and was actively working on the anti-Trump dossier. Gaetz asks when he first became aware of that situation, to which Rosenstein again plays dumb, saying, “I believe it would have been some time in the fall of 2017.”

He tries to wiggle his way out of the obvious compromising situation, saying, “Mr. Ohr was never working, to my knowledge, on that Russia investigation.” Gaetz interrupts, saying, “But his wife was, right?”

He notes, “He’s your associate deputy attorney general and his wife gets hired for that. I asked you this question on the 13th of December, I wrote you a letter on the 18th of December, nine months ago. You have not responded to it. We need a date when you found out that the wife of your deputy was working for people who were actively trying to undermine President Trump. Don’t you think that’s a really important date for you to know about the spouse of your own associate attorney general?”

Rosenstein seems to realize that Gaetz is getting close to forcing him to commit perjury so he goes into tap dance and filibuster mode, hiding behind the career employment of Ohr, who was “there when I arrived,” and attempting to fill time with the process by which Ohr was relocated. Gaetz was having none of it.

He asked for the particulars of the process by which the FISA warrant was signed and forced Rosenstein to admit that he had never read the warrant application with him attempting to hide behind a discussion of process as Gaetz’ time runs out. Insisting on continuing, Rosenstein mentioned in his explanation the fact that the DOJ Inspector General was conducting an investigation of that warrant process, at which time Gaetz asked, “Are they investigating you?” Rosenstein didn’t answer that question, he didn’t even acknowledge it.

Thank you Rick. I have just come across your work, from a friend Tea Party Community. I was kicked off of Fakebook a couple times myself, not for writing anything nasty or bad, but simply expressing my own political opinions. I was told that my comments could not be published! Then, they decided to suspend me. The second time they did this, I got the message! That’s when I found teapartycommunity.com. They’re great, everything that Fakebook ISN’T! Free speech. Not mean or nasty, just truthful thoughts, expressed plainly in comments.

It seems that Rosenstein may very well be on the investigation end of the IG. IT just looks like he keep trying to hide things from the congress.
