President Trump could have the last laugh when it comes to CNN Fake News. If his conditions make it necessary that their parent company, AT&T, sell them off and Fox News is…
On her RT program the Resident, Lori Harfenist details the prospect that CNN could be purchased by Fox News, noting that Rupert Murdoch has made two calls in the past six months to AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson “to discuss CNN and whether or not it’s for sale.”
Of course there are few things that would be more enjoyable than watching CNN’s Fake News ambassador, Jim Acosta and their long list of other distortionists [sic] such as Jake Tapper, Fareed Zakaria, Chris Cuomo, Anderson Cooper and condescending UN globalist witch Christiane Amanpour being forced to clean out their desks, grovel or become actual news reporters in order to remain employed.
For most of them it would likely be the same logic as getting rid of the Obama holdovers in the White House, because that is basically what they would have with the CNN “talent.” It would be better to just clean house and start fresh.
Harfenist explains how the AT&T $85.4 billion attempt to buy Time Warner is being held up by anti-trust concerns. She cites Reuters as reporting that “the Department of Justice has recommended that AT&T sell either their DirecTV unit or their Turner Broadcasting unit in order to gain anti-trust approval.”
Harfenist notes that “CNN is part of AT&T’s Turner Broadcasting, so the Justice Department is saying, ‘If you sell off one of those parts of your business, then you can go ahead and buy Time Warner and it won’t be a monopoly.”
She points out that if that’s all AT&T has to do to be able to buy Time Warner, there’s a good chance they’ll do it. And if they choose to sell off Turner Broadcasting, that means CNN will be for sale. “What makes it even juicier,” says Harfenist, is that President Trump promised to block AT&T’s purchase of Time Warner back when he was still running for office.”
She says, “Forcing them to sell off CNN could be exactly what Trump is after, especially because Fox has tried to buy CNN before. And if Fox bought CNN, that would probably mean a major shakeup at the ‘news’ network that is gaining steam as the biggest pusher of anti-Trump propaganda out there right now.”
She adds with glee, “Such a merger could make anti-Trumpers’ heads explode,” offering that as the President’s possible end game.
