Fitton discussed FBI memos detailing the pressure of FBI agent Strzok put on former Andrew McCabe get a warrant on Page. He said that the memos are confirmation Strzok and his allies were looking for excuses to target Trump’s team
(CNSNews) The ongoing probe into alleged collusion between Russia and the 2016 Trump presidential campaign was “infected by hyper-political bias against President Trump,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said Friday.
Appearing on The Ingraham Angle, Fitton discussed FBI memos detailing the pressure of FBI agent Peter Strzok put on former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to ultimately get a warrant on Carter Page. He said that the memos are confirmation Strzok and his allies were looking for excuses to target Trump’s team:
“Oh, it’s further confirmation that the Trump-Russia investigation was infected by this hyper-political bias against President Trump, where they’re looking for excuses to target his team.”
Fitton further addressed Strzok’s statement on Carter Page, in which Strzok said “At the minimum, the letter provides a pretext to interview:
“You had Page write a letter complaining about an improper FBI leak and the response from one of the top FBI officials, ‘Well, let’s use it as an excuse to bring him and interview him.’ And then, they follow that up with the infamous FISA warrants, which would never have been approved, but for their reliance on the Clinton- DNC dossier.”
When discussing the targeting Paul Manafort, Fitton further suggested that President Trump should seriously consider ordering his Justice Department to shut down the Mueller investigation down, given all the corruption in its formation
