The nominee for FBI Director to replace the “conspired and fired” criminal James Comey, Christopher Wray, was confirmed by the full Senate Tuesday by a vote of 92-5. In order to curry favor with Senate Democrats, notably Senator Dianne Feinstein, Wray essentially promised he would operate as if the FBI is a separate branch of government from the Executive Branch.
He swore to Feinstein during his July confirmation hearings that rather than being under the executive branch, which they are, he would operate as if he reported to the Senate. Wray gave his loyalty pledge to Feinstein, vowing he would notify the Senate if he should happen to “witness or learn of any efforts to interfere with the work [plot to overthrow the President] of special counsel Mueller.”
Wray testified, “I’ve worked closely with Director Mueller in my past government service. I view him as the consummate straight shooter and somebody I have enormous respect for. And I would be pleased to do what I can to support him in his mission.” That mission is to take down the President of the United States and Wray pledged, under the protection of a component of his confirmation, to assist in those efforts, with Senate protection and at their insistence.
He effectively promised to circumvent the constitutional lines of authority and operate independently, under Mueller and in the interest of Mueller, the establishment, Democrats, deep state and George Soros globalists. The Senate will serve as his guardian and safety mechanism against defensive measures taken by the White House.
He represents a return of Mueller to the Directorship by his own pledge of submission and compliance. Now it’s official, Wray, Miller, McCabe and Rodentstein will work together to sink President Trump and the American People. And if President Trump doesn’t like it, he’s already created the ultimate snitch, who will run to Capitol Hill and tug on Feinstein’s skirt like a school yard tattletale to the teacher.
In voicing his endorsement, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said, “Mr. Wray was asked directly what he would do if presented with the opportunity to influence these [Russia Witch Hunt] investigations in any way. He told the committee that he won’t condone tampering with investigations, and that he would resign rather than be unduly influenced in any manner. Mr. Wray’s record of service, and his reputation, give us no reason to doubt him.”
Democrats and establishment types knew they were getting a good, obedient operative with Wray, as he was voted out of committee by a 20-0 margin. At some point in all of this President Trump is going to have to open his eyes to the fact that decisions like this are what makes his job so difficult. It’s what keeps Americans asking themselves, “Whose advising the President, who is he listening to?”
It’s enough to make us want to throw up our hands and just watch him as he repeatedly shoots himself in the foot with his own pistols. Except we’ve got feet in this fight too. If he fails our nation is in an unimaginable mess and likely civil war. Somebody needs to get the President’s ear. Where are Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller with all of this going on?
