Farrell says he’s certain that Sessions is covering up for the Obama mob, which is terrified the truth will come out. He urges a Congressman to spill the beans from House floor, safe…
Gregg Jarrett quotes critics of the appointment of John Huber to an as yet ambiguous and undefined position as some sort of investigator into the misconduct at DOJ as he did on the day of the announcement, as window dressing. He says it’s clear to him that this was all just engineered by Rod Rosenstein to placate members of Congress and those who have been critical of the DOJ.”
Judicial Watch’s Chris Farrell describes the still unexplained position as “the usual condescending pat on the head.” He says, “If you read the announcement letter that the Attorney General sent over to Grassley” and two others, “he uses every word except investigate, prosecute. It’s all he’ll review and consult.” [[WATCH VIDEO BELOW]]
Jarrett interjects that Huber “is in Utah for goodness sakes, where all the witnesses and documents are in Washington. Jarrett asks Farrell, “Do you think Jeff Sessions is in on it or is he just so utterly clueless that he doesn’t know the wool is being pulled over his eyes by Rod Rosenstein?” Farrell says he doesn’t know Sessions well enough to make that call, but that “the outcome, the results, the conduct is pathetic.”
Jarrett agrees, saying, “What’s also pathetic is the fact that Congress, seven months ago subpoenaed documents with the Department of Justice and FBI. Now, seven months hence, they have just a fraction of those documents. Is this sort of a classic cover up of incriminating information?”
Farrell answers, “I virtually guarantee it. I’m up in the 99th percentile that they are in cover up mode. My remedy is for those Congressmen who have particular knowledge of what’s gone on, and of course they know a lot more than they say, but somebody needs to develop a spine and go down onto the floor of the House.”
He continues, “And on the record, under the rules of immunity [under the debate clause], go out and start telling the truth now. And embarrass and force Justice and the FBI, for that matter, Mueller, to come clean. Because they know more than they’re saying. But all the fun and games – time’s up. We need to break the logjam and we need to get the information public now.”
After Jarrett points to a new Strzok text message in which he states that they should withhold information from the Department of Justice, Farrell notes that one of the documents that is being withheld or severely redacted is the case opening memo, presumably where Peter Strzok laid out his scheme to go after the President.
He says, “They are terrified of releasing that.” Farrell notes that they’re also “steering an investigation, they’re not even pretending, they’re not even going through the motions of trying to limit or minimize their own exposure. They’re overtly, explicitly gaming the system.” He wonders why they are not under indictment.
