Trump’s Trade Director points to the fact that the President is standing strong in the face of coordinated opposition to his tariff proposals by the enemies of middle…
Maria Bartiromo should know better than to use Orrin Hatch, who was the point man in the Senate for the establishment sellout of America in every regard that was TPP, under Hussein Obama, as an example of the opposition to the tariffs on steel and aluminum President Trump will put in place.
She also should know that Senator Ben Sasse is a never-Trumper who is, like Hatch, also an establishment US Chamber of Commerce tool and one who has opposed virtually every action taken by President Trump.
Hatch, who was marshaling under TPP an effort to surrender US sovereignty and establish a separate, un-appealable and secret legal system to benefit corporations, most of whom would be foreign and who also supported turning over our immigration law writing to the majority vote of other TPP member nations, has the nerve to say that President Trump “is getting some bad advice.”
Sasse, who similarly is in favor of continuing the destruction of America’s middle class through the gutting of our industry, calls the measures “leftist economic policy” and manages to utter the rare compliment for President Trump on deregulation but immediately follows it up with, “This trade policy will be disastrous.”
Bartiromo calls the two, “the President’s allies.” Nothing could be further from the truth. They do what their globalist masters tell them to do.
Peter Navarro, the White House National Trade Council Director delivers the facts behind the reason why President Trump is taking the action, and it involves long held beliefs and a commitment to Americans to revitalize our manufacturing, bringing those jobs back with them.
He says the American people can expect a trade policy from President Trump that is “measured, that’s going to be effective, it’s balanced, and the goal here basically is to reduce our trade deficit in a way that creates jobs here in the heartland of America, so that we can sustain ourselves economically, see our wages go up.”
Navarro points to the naysayers that will come crawling out of the woodwork to criticize the efforts of President Trump to resuscitate our economy. Bartiromo has already provided him with Hatch and Sasse as examples.
