Eric Trump stopped by the Sean Hannity program and made a point of calling out Republicans, who, with few exceptions, are behaving in a cowardly and largely unhelpful, shameful manner when it comes to President Trump.
He opens with praise for General Kelly in his new position as Chief of Staff and then moves on to his father, saying, “Look at the weight that he has to carry, look at the weight and look at the good things that are happening.” He says of the invisible Republicans, “You would think they would get on the band wagon,” pointing to successes with the stock market, oil prices, pipelines, the military, the VA, the push for tax reform and consumer confidence.
Eric says, “So many incredible things that are being done and all they want to focus on is Russia and the scandal. And I guarantee you if you watch the mainstream media the only thing they’re going to talk about is Anthony [Scaramucci]. He says, “This country is four trillion dollars richer under my father in the first six months, where is that?”
Hannity points out that not only did Republicans fail to keep their pledge to end Obamacare when the President had a pen in his hand and was ready to sign, they also have allowed the phony Russia, Russia, Russia to drag on for so long while ignoring real crimes of the Democrats.
Hannity cites Clinton Ukraine collusion, we’ve got Uranium one, we’ve got the email server scandal in which we know laws were broken, you’ve got Comey leaking, the general counsel we learned of the FBI last week is leaking, Loretta Lynch. They’re not even using the power of subpoena to investigate what I truly see as real evidence, real crimes.”
Trump quotes his father from a couple of weeks prior, asking in a tweet, “Am I going to have to carry this whole weight on my shoulder. I mean, when are some of the people in my own party going to start protecting me and I feel this as well.”
Noting that he’s an outsider, Eric says, ‘I want somebody to start fighting for him. I mean, he’s the best fighter in the world. He will do a better job fighting for himself than all of them will do for him, but I mean, how much weight does he have to carry by himself? How can a party that is doing so much better than the Democrats…why wouldn’t they embrace that?”
He says, “My father has the voice of this country, the people of this country love him. Why wouldn’t they get in line? It doesn’t make sense.”
American patriots have to agree. The rest, Republican or otherwise, simply don’t want President Trump to succeed. He’s a threat to the good old boy network that supports them and which they value much more than their country.
