Lou Dobbs has a few thoughts on “the Democrats growing increasingly desperate, delirious, delusional. The Dems failed to buy a victory in Georgia’s special election and now they’re turning on their own. This is a watershed moment. For the first time the Dems are not attacking President Trump, no, they’re attacking Nancy Pelosi.”
Dobbs says, “She faces growing backlash from members of her party, but the House Minority Leader is defiant. She’s bragging about her leadership today, listen in.” Pelosi gives an oral resume presentation in response to a question as to whether she should remain in her position, describing herself as a “master legislator” among other stomach turning comments.
Pelosi’s remark that she’s “worth the trouble” isn’t overlooked by Dobbs who agrees. “Well, certainly for the Republicans.” He then gives his own critique of her self-assessment and her track record in governance. He points out that Republicans have gained more than 60 seats during her tenure.
“The Republican Party would like to have the Pelosi kind of trouble around for a very long time,” says Dobbs. “In fact, President Trump today tweeted this: ‘I certainly hope the Democrats do not force Nancy P out. That would be very bad for the Republican Party – And please, let Cryin’ Chuck stay.’ The Dems’ only strategy, it seems, is to obstruct the President and his agenda and to drag out those Congressional investigations on Russia. They say they’ll do so until the 2018 midterms. More seats seem to be coming up available.”
“But none of this has helped the Dems,” says Dobbs, “in any of the special elections and the midterms won’t likely be any different. Because the Dems haven’t got, they don’t have a single new idea. They don’t have a single fresh thought of any kind. They just do nasty better than anyone and that’s proved to be not nearly enough.”
Dobbs adds, “That’s all the better for Republicans, for the Trump administration, and indeed, the country.”
