DiGenova agrees lying dirty cop McCabe should be fired, he lied to the FBI internal affairs, a crime. Entire Obama DOJ leadership belongs on wanted posters in Post Offices for the…
Tucker Carlson notes that the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility has recommended that form Comey deputy director Andrew McCabe be fired for “serious misconduct” which they specified included lying to the FBI.
Carlson says the recommendation comes from McCabe “authorizing the disclosure of sensitive information to reporters, leaking illegally, and then lying to investigators when they asked.” Carlson reminds his audience that McCabe has already announced his retirement and is trying to sneak out the back door with it intact, by making it through until Sunday without having been fired. Carlson asks Joe diGenova for his opinion, saying he’s been watching some crazy woman in the afternoons at MSNBC screaming about how it is immoral to deprive McCabe of his pension days before he qualifies. “Has he done something worth punishment, do you think?”
DiGenova says, “He’s done a number of things worth punishment, including careening through obstruction of justice by, from the beginning of the Trump campaign, doing everything he could to exonerate Hillary Clinton in the email server case, corruptly. And then if Hillary didn’t win the presidency, to figure out a way to falsely claim that Donald Trump had committed a crime.”
DiGenova recognizes that’s not what he’s being fired for but that is ultimately what he should be assigned responsibility for. He says, “He should be fired. He should have been fired a long time ago, and if he loses some of his benefits, that’s good for the country. That’s the least that can be done to him.”
Carlson asks, “What are the consequences of having high level law enforcement officers, who have the power of life and death over the rest of us, lying, caught lying? What does that mean for us?” DiGenova replies, “It means that the system of equal justice has been rent asunder by the conduct of James Comey, America’s best known dirty cop, Andrew McCabe and others, including senior Obama administration Justice Department officials. [Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder?]
He continues, “This is a moment in history that has sullied the reputation of the FBI and the Department of Justice and deservedly so. Every one of these people should be put in a wanted poster at a post office even though they may never be arrested. What they have done to the Department and the FBI is undermine the confidence of the American people in federal law enforcement.”
“It is disgraceful,” says diGenova, and it all stems from their animus towards President Trump. It is despicable.”
Carlson asks, “So as a procedural matter, if an FBI official is caught lying to internal investigators, to their IG, or whoever department within the Bureau did the investigation, isn’t that just prima facie cause for firing right there?” DiGenova replies, “It is and it’s also a violation of the false statement federal statute and it’s a crime.” He says it’s a crime for himself of Carlson to lie to the FBI and it is also a crime “for Mr. McCabe to do so.”
